Quote: “No one gets it. It is actually a pretty smart gamble on the Dems part. They are now forcing the GOP to run solely on rolling back what the Dems have done. . . “

How exactly is it a smart gamble to give your opponents ammunition? I mean the Republicans are being handed ammunition to last a lifetime. In 1994 the voters killed the democrats for even TRYING this. What do you think they are going to get for actually enacting this? This bill creates a disaster that will be killing Americans for generations to come and raising taxes through the roof (even before they raise taxes again after their so called “bi-partisan panel gets done). The hatred and resentment that will be created will only build as the people watch their sick loved ones sentenced to euthanasia.

Whether the dems like it or not, the American Public viewed the election in Mass. as a DIRECT repudiation of this healthcare plan. The fact that the dems have to pass this bill by changing the rules means the dems are nullifying that election. You really think that is a smart gamble? I think it smacks of desperation, arrogance and elitism, if not an outright coup d’etat.

Yeah, Ok, I’m an idiot. By November, Football season will be back, American Idol will be on, the Obama media will be in full swing, and people like me who have been stabbed in back too many times from “conservatives”, will be ridiculed for refusing to back candidates who suddenly remember their base in even numbered years. They got us into this mess, them and those who said electability was more important than principles (Specter-Toomey, anyone?), why should now be any different?

Nope, I’ll keep my dumb, uneducated self, that way by supporting my local conservative candidates only, and leave the Lindsey Graham on the road to Damascus revelations and pronouncements to those who still believe in a GOP who is more afraid of the New York Times than their own constituents..
