Goldman Sachs predicted the economy will lose as many as 100,000 jobs in February due to blizzard-like conditions that kept employers and prospective hires from getting to the office.

Whaaaat? Jobs losses because they couldn't hire people? Hiring people would be adding jobs, would it not? Did they fire or lay people off because they couldn't get to the office? Granted, I'm under the influence of medication at the moment so maybe it's just me but, this doens't make sense.

Even in bad times there is turnover, some people are always leaving jobs so if the weather causes a delay in hiring replacements I suppose it could result in more unemployment.
