Romneycare model a dud (vs ObamaCare)
Boston Herald ^ | 3/4/10 | Michael Graham

So this is what it looks like when a mild-mannered, liberal community activist goes “nuclear.”

President Barack Obama didn’t use the “n” word - or even the “r” word, “reconciliation.” But he made it clear he’s ready to go to Democrat DefCon4, give the partisan launch codes and inflict Obamacare on the American people at any political cost.

In defending his decision to go nuclear, Obama talked about insurance company “abuses.” He talked about premium hikes in California. He talked about a sick mom in Wisconsin. He even talked (in extremely modest ways) about Republican ideas like tort reform and fighting Medicare fraud.

What Obama didn’t mention was Massachusetts.

socialism always fails.

And Romneycare is exactly the reason why Romney is the worst possible candidate to go up against Obama in 2012. We need all the anti-healthcare people on our side in 2012.

You are correct. If he was the best candidate in the world, it would NO with his links to Romneycare.

We need a candidate who will stand up strong against Obamacare and has from Day One!

RomneyCare is simply a state version of ObamaCare

This is why it boggles my mind that ANY conservative would give Mitt Romney a second look. He's no better than what we've got in the White House now.

Wait, check that. He's got better hair.

Just as nominating McCain took amnesty off the table as a campaign issue in 2008.

exactly.

Actually nominating McCain took healthcare reform off the table too, since McCain was for a version of health reform very similar to what is about to pass.

McCain was quite possibly the worst possible candidate we could of nominated to go up against the zero. Even old Bob Dole could of handed the zero his community organizing butt.

Exactly. This isn’t the first time MA has dabbled in socialized medicine either. Around the Dukakis timeframe MA passed a HC bill. It was sold as easily affordable and for the ‘needy’ only but in only a matter of months went bankrupt. LOL, who would have guessed? Anyway, MA refused to pay the hospitals who promptly sued them. Guess who lost? Yup, the state had to pay off their debts...what a concept. Some time later the bill was quietly repealed. Then Romney and his liberal buddies gave MA the current plan...which is bankrupting the state. They decided (as in willfully) to go right back to the same failed ideas. MA is now 2 deep in socialized meds....how many tries is it going to take to prove communism is a failure???

Lord McCain is what he is and is as easy to read as a first grade primer. What to me is most curious is these that worship at his knee as they follow him and push US off the proverbial cliff. They are so blind they do not see how quickly he changes into a conservative sounding costume after he crawls out of his bed with the liberals... Strange things masquerading as conservative.

McCain is a petty man that only became a Maverick to stick it to Bush who had beaten him in the primaries.

Quibble: We want "pro-healthcare" people, we don't want "pro-government-takeover-of-healthcare-under-the-guise-of-'reform'" people.

James Garner was an attractive person that played the role Maverick. Lord McCain and his advisers colluded with the liberal airheads at the Jon Stewart media to paint a picture that only they could create. Lord McCain repaid these liberal airheads in the media world with that 'campaign finance reform' by giving them the power over elections ads by calling it news. And for their part they in return gave lord McCain an open seat daily or weekly so he could smash/trash/and crash conservatives.... Yes indeed he is a very petty man, hence it will never be his to reach the top of his mountain ruling over US at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He sold US OUT for love of himself...

Romney used Massachusetts as a place from which to launch his presidential campaign, which has been ongoing ever since. During his brief time here, he managed to inflict Romneycare and homosexual marriage upon us. He now wants to force his agenda on the rest of the country.

Let’s not forget that he and his family have no experience in military matters. What kind of commander in chief can we expect Romney to be?

LOL, which is the logic Romney and his liberal buddies used to get it passed...that and telling the STUPID voters it was superior in idea & approach. No one bothered to ask what those superior attributes were. Now we’re seeing it wasn’t nearly so great as Romney and his liberal enablers said it was. So, Romney lied about it. I wonder if he’ll pull a McCain and claim he was duped. Wouldnt surprise me.

What's wrong with you?

Don't you think "The Massachussets model will bankrupt the country more slowly than the Obama plan" is the perfect winning slogan? < / sarcasm >

Yeah, that's a pretty big albatross around his neck... not sure what he was thinking in starting this program.
