House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Thursday that she was not aware of any allegations of misconduct against Rep. Eric Massa, a day after the freshman Democrat from New York announced his retirement from Congress.
Massa told reporters Wednesday that he is retiring for health reasons. He has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
But House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D) said Wednesday night that Massa was also facing an ethics investigation over allegations of misconduct. Hoyer did not detail the allegations of misconduct but said his office became aware of them nearly a month ago.
Pelosi (D) said that she had not been informed.
"I asked my staff, I said, have there been any rumors about any of this before?" Pelosi said, referring to the harassment allegation. "There had been a rumor, but just that, no formal notification to our office that anything -- a one-, two-, three-person-removed rumor that had been reported to Mr. Hoyer's office that had been reported to my staff, which they didn't report to me, because, you know what? This is rumor city. Every single day, there are rumors. I have a job to do and not to be the receiver of rumors."

Kind of like her claims of not getting those CIA briefings that she definitely did receive according to many who were present at the time. Nancy, please stop lying and tell the truth.
From all the stuff Pelosi says she is kept in the dark about, she must live in a cave at the bottom of the Marianas Trench. Good thing she doesn’t have an important role in US affairs.
I don’t think we need to be be making explicit gestures of enmity to Turkey just now. Turkey has not quite yet crossed to the dark side.

If Pelosi is really as systematically uninformed as she claims, then she’s not competent to handle the job. Otherwise, she’s not honest enough to handle the job. In any case, she’s not patriotic enough to handle the job.
