AZ-Sen. 2010: Brown answers McCain’s call for help (as McCainiac says J.D. a "buffoon")
The Boston Globe ^ | 2010-03-05 | Matt Viser

TUCSON - J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman and conservative AM radio host, nearly lost his voice this week delivering fiery attacks on John McCain, the Republican 2008 presidential nominee whom Hayworth accuses of betraying his party and getting too cozy with East Coast liberals. The four-term senator, says Hayworth, "is not the John McCain we knew."

Hayworth’s assault from the right in a GOP primary has forced McCain to launch an early, aggressive defense of his seat. And today, McCain will attempt to enhance his conservative bona fides by hosting the party’s new darling, US Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, on an Arizona campaign swing.

(snip)

While Brown could help traditional conservatives rally around McCain, he also risks antagonizing Tea Party voters around the country who poured money into his surprise Massachusetts election and are fed up with the status quo.

(snip)

Hayworth is providing McCain with the strongest primary challenge since he first won the seat in 1986, but McCain had $5 million in his campaign account and another $22 million he may be able to use from his presidential campaign, according to year-end campaign finance reports. Hayworth, who formally launched his campaign less than three weeks ago, has not yet had to file a campaign finance report, but is trying to raise $1 million this month.

“It’s a strange time and there’s a lot of anti-incumbent feeling across the country. Anyone has to take every race seriously. John is certainly doing that, and, consequently, I think he’ll be fine," said Grant Woods, former Arizona attorney general, who was McCain’s first chief of staff and remains close to the senator. “His other big advantage is Hayworth is a buffoon in my opinion."

Juan McCain is a stinking RINO. The McCain and Cheney klans support gay marriage and sodomy.

How could you up your conservative status when you are campaigning with Scott Brown, who is a pro choice moderate?

Bingo.

All that money that conservatives thought they were giving to Sarah is going straight to fighting J.D.

And what is Brown? A RINO from Mass. It wouldn’t surprise me if he reneged on his promise to oppose health care reform.

Brown has a big base of FR fanbois. I was ripped by most of them for calling him a RINO when he was elected. They were mentioning him as a GOP presidential candidate.

Where are THEY now?

McCain should NOT be permitted to use the $22 million left over from 2008. Frankly, why the hell does he have ANY $ left over? Imagine if he ran $22 million in ads targeting Rev. Wright! Nope, he went down without a fight, like the coward he is.

Because McCain only fights conservatives and never his fellow progressives.

Many people have won elections when the other candidate outspent them and out "endorsed" them. Gov. Rick Perry just won a 3-way race in Texas without a run-off. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney both endorsed Kay Bailey Hutchison, the loser.

People are just mad as heck and they'll vote for whomever they choose to vote for.

Now that would be a great campaign - Republican voters want their ‘08 donations back from McCain. Wonder if JD could use that strategy in an ad.

I can only say: “I told you so”... Face Book was filled with short-sighted ideologues, whooping it up over Scott Brown, and pouring hot pitch upon any who took a principled stand against him, based upon what Brown stated on his web page.

Now you all watch what we get in 2012... That jackass, Michael Steel, will attempt to foist a “McCain*Brown” ticket upon us... I will not stand for this RINO betrayal any longer.

This is just so typical of treacherous Scumbag McStain. He’ll call another pub a ‘buffoon’ but he kissed zero’s ass for months. He will never say a bad thing about a rat - only pubs. I really do think he’s a got some form of Stockholm Syndrome - kisses up to his “captors” while betraying his own.

How I so hope that AZ is as sick to death of him as I am!

The Scorpion and the Frog

One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.

The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn’t see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.

Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.

“Hellooo Mr. Frog!” called the scorpion across the water, “Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?”

“Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?” asked the frog hesitantly.

“Because,” the scorpion replied, “If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!”

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. “What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!”

“This is true,” agreed the scorpion, “But then I wouldn’t be able to get to the other side of the river!”

“Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?” said the frog.

“Ahh...,” crooned the scorpion, “Because you see, once you’ve taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!”

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog’s back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog’s soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog’s back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

“You fool!” croaked the frog, “Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?”

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog’s back.

“I could not help myself. It is my nature.”

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Self destruction - “Its my Nature”, said the Scorpion...

I demanded a refund from McCain campaign after his stupid “you have nothing to fear” of a president obama remark. Of course, I got no response. Crook.
