Dillard sounds like a more stand-up kind of guy than it had appeared. He can’t change the outcome, but he’s definitely not appearing petty.
Despite having endorsed Obama, a move I’m sure Kirk Dillard has regretted frequently since, he does seem to be a good guy and I’m very proud of the way both he and Bill Brady have conducted themselves, and that he has chosen to concede rather than dragging this thing out for months. It’s an example of putting “State” before “Self”, that others would do well to emulate.
This is good news. Quinn is beatable but Brady will need to increase his name recognition. Brady needs to emulate the campaigns of McDonnell and Cristy. Lay out a plan that resonates against the out of touch Chicago machine.
