It is Zero that’s lying. I live in the center of Hollywood and every apartment bldg have For Rent’ signs since early last year.
In Columbus, Ohio, we have ‘two months free rent’ signs, and my landlord offered month-to-month (no lease - unheard of last 15 years), at the same rent, as long as we would stay. I smell desperation.
My ex-boss, who two years ago owned rental properties with net monthly income (after all expenses and taxes) of $40K, had to declare bankruptcy (massive negative cash flow). He hopes to keep his house, but his rentals are hitting the auction market.
But, unemployment was unchanged this month.
