Maybe it was genocide. Why are we passing a resolution “declaring” it?
and why now?
It was 100 years ago and Turkey is now a rare entity: an ally in the Muslim world. It was not in our interests to piss them off. This was totally counter-productive, the mark of a bunch of amateurs. The Nazis and communists murdered, between them, probably 200 million people and we seem to be doing business with Germany, Russia and China these days.
