Was it wearing a shirt?
Diana Garcia is the otther.
Hmm. Thanks for the extracts from the hardcopy story. I see they’ve updated it on the net site, and, well, scrubbed it.
The names of the two rescuers are eliminated, as are some of the earlier details. In particular, Diana Garcia no longer is in the story at all.
The comments make one further point: it was not certain that the animal was rabid until they got the results of the tests back the next day—when the story was modified. So, maybe Diana Garcia didn’t know that little detail when she was quoted. Although it still would take a moonbat to stick up for an otter that had taken a 96-year-old man to the ground and was busy gnawing on him.
And anyone in his right mind would surely suspect that rabies was responsible. Otters don’t normally behave like that.
Anyway, that quote from Garcia is priceless. Many thanks for preserving it for us and for posterity.
Diana Garcia epitomizes the fact that many liberals truly live in another world. They may walk among us but they are in their own fantasy land. And like the animal in this story, they are often foaming at the mouth.
This is always a bad sign.
A pistol would have lessened the severity of the situation.
Would never have posted the story except for Princess Diana Garcia’s quote. Thanks for your feedback!
You otter give it a rest, Laz.
I sure hope that guy you quoted was just being sarcastic or something, otherwise I’m at a loss for words.
I was out standing in the street at 5 AM myself this morning. Early morning is my favorite time of day.
Shoot this thing.
Shoot this thing.
We can’t shoot up there John, we might hit you.
Well shoot up here amongst us, one of us has got to have some relief.
The woman! We saw otters up close and personal at a Nature Preserve in England. Nasty critters, closely resembling Gollum imho. Maybe this woman should sing to them — I think there are some songs left over from the Malibu guy’a premature exit.
an aside: Truck drivers are in constant danger of hi-jacking from well organized crime outfits.
and yet they are not allowed to carry any weapon of any kind.
I hope they are able to get this changed.
Many loads are worth millions - and watchers will sit outside the warehouses that load such merchandise, then when a loaded truck leaves, it will be followed for many miles and then hi-jacked for the load.
sometimes, some loan jerk just wants the truck, like in this case.
here's a video of a truck dirver’s odyssey - his truck just got hi-jacked by what appears, at the end, to be another one of those Amish guys ;o)
Insightful observations. Thanks!
“A pistol would have lessened the severity of the situation.”
Don’t talk crazy. Who’s going to give a rabid otter a gun.
:^)
Another right-wing extremist, no doubt.
Am sure the otter does not check the clock; and so if it were out and about, later in day. . .and it attacked a passer-by; would it still be as deserving or rather; it's victim? How about a child or another animal as a snack? Should animals with rabies just be left alone to dine as will?
That said, my heartfelt sympathies to traumatized victim(s).
If you want off my ping list get over it!
re: Rabid otter attacks man
Last I heard the otter had been sent for lab tests to determine if it was rabid. Those tests take a few days and the results are rarely available to the press in less than a week. I suspect the headline writer intended to say the otter was out of control, but the use of the word rabid has a very specific meaning.
I know, I know. Nit picking. And while I’m about it, the very first word of the article is incorrect.
I checked the link to make certain the article was being quoted and sure enough, that’s exactly what the editor(s) let get by them.
...and Laz would hit it...
