Movies help when they are substantiated....since I was
there in the Pacific during the war....I still have
some basic visions of the battles and the war itself...
but the varied reactions to the war changes as the years
go on. I was young and innocent..but it was a big
part of ones life then and is more so as one
reflects on the lifelong impact that it has made on the
lives of many thousands. JJK
The worst example of this kind of revisionism was in the Bruckheimer film Pearl Harbor, a scene where Japanese bomber pilots were trying to warn away a group of little leaguers who'd stopped playing their game to watch the attack unfold. Ridiculous attempt to personalize the attackers and done only to make the movie more palatable to overseas audiences.
