"She Went Through Hell." Child Brutally Beaten in Belleville By Jeff Bernthal March 3, 2010

Child Severely Beaten in Belleville Video BELLEVILLE, IL - (KTVI - FOX2now.com) - She went through hell and no one helped her. That's how an investigator describes the abuse suffered by a two year old St. Clair County girl. Wednesday night, the toddler's mother and her boyfriend were in custody and some believe the system may have let the little girl down. Investigators tell us the two year old is in critical condition at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. Police say she was bruised from head to toe. In fact, were told the beating was so severe that a quarter of her intestines had to be removed.

"How can you describe it other than hell," said St. Clair County Sheriffs Department Captain Steve Johnson about the abuse.

That hell was allegedly inflicted on the two year old by 24 year old Kraig Monroe. Monroe is the boyfriend of the toddler's mother and is not the child's father. St. Clair County Sheriff's Department investigators say Monroe beat the two year old inside his trailer on Princeton Drive outside of Belleville.

"While the boyfriend was babysitting this two year old while mom was at work the suspect was upset because the baby was crying. So while the baby was sitting an Elmo chair he began punching her in the stomach repeatedly," explained Captain Johnson.

From the article:”Investigators say the beating went on over a three to four day period. Monroe is charged with aggravated battery of a child.”

Unless this carries a higher penalty I don’t understand why he is not charged with attempted murder with a provision for a more severe sentence because of special victim circumstances.

And dang right charge the birthing unit. Any mother that puts her sex life before the safety of her children is not a mom she is a four letter word. (Take your pick.)

The kid’s two and in past incidents has already had a broken leg, a broken arm, and half her hair pulled out?

I thought this was Bellwood, a ‘hood of Chicago.
Turns out it’s Belleville, a ‘hood of East St. Louis.

“and some believe the system may have let the little girl down.” What about her grandparents, family friends, neighbors, any one? Nope, just the system.

Any mother that puts her sex life before the safety of her children

Huh? Where does this come from? She was at work. How is that putting her "sex life" ahead of being a mom? You can't judge her that way without knowing all sides of the story.

One of liberalism's many contributions to the lives of children...a dramatic increase in per capita abuse. The dissolution of the two-parent (birth) family, spawned by the “tolerant” society we've become, puts millions of American children in the position of living with the mother's boyfriend. When that non-birth parent man comes into the household, the per capita incidence of abuse (of ll types) increases over 3,000 percent above the rate of abuse faced by children who live with both birth parents.

- No-fault divorce
- Sexual promiscuity
- Rejection of the importance of the birth father's role in parenting
- Women being forced into the work place to fund ever-increasing government costs
...the list of liberal contributions to the abuse of children is virtually endless.

Three other children living in the same trailer as this hellbound criminal and his “sweetheart.”

We see a lot of the initial outrage articles, what about the sentencing these evil scum get?

The mom may have been at work, but she’s the one put this criminal in her home with her defenseless children. That’s how she put her sex life ahead of her children. He didn’t get there by himself, she had to have invited him.

Mom found some guy she liked to shack up with and allowed him into their home. The result was so common and predictable that doctors and nurses sometimes refer to child abuse as "mother's boyfriend disease." Just like a male chimp will kill any rivals' children, this was yet another man who simply cannot ever be trusted around another man's children if he is screwing their mother.

Hellllooo! I understand exactly what that means. Some women don't care if the man they are sleeping with hurts her kids as long as he stays with her. If this one leaves her, she just goes gets another one to screw her and he beats the kids up, too. This little girl may have been sexually molested later on as she grew older. And don't think mama doesn't gets punched around, too. These women are sickos just like the bastards they choose to live with.

All children in divorce should be placed under the custody and control of the father unless there is evidence that he is unfit. all else being equal the father is the preferred caretaker of any minor children.

These lousy, no good, slut women spread their legs to any bum that comes along and put their “need for love” above the needs of the children. I hope the woman is forced to undergo sterilization and her other children, if any, permanently taken away.

I meant in keeping a guy in the house who (from the description) is clearly not fit to be left in the care of a child. I’m guessing he ain’t there cause he irons so well.

I’d really like to spend an afternoon with that punk. He wouldn’t enjoy it much but I would REALLY like to spend some time with him... alone... with a morning star in my hand...
