President Barack Obama said his healthcare plan takes into account "every single serious idea" on cost containment from both parties.
Obama made the remark in a stump speech Monday in Glenside, Pa., where he sought to address GOP criticisms that his health plan doesn't do enough to contain rising costs.
Obama, who appeared with Sens. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) and Arlen Specter (D-Pa.), argued he's incorporated serious Republican proposals to contain rising healthcare costs.
"You keep on hearing from critics and some of the Republicans on these Sunday shows say, 'Well, we want to do more about costs,' " Obama said in a speech at Arcadia University.
"We have now incorporated almost every single serious idea from across the political spectrum about how to contain the rising costs of healthcare, ideas that go after waste and abuse in our system, including in programs like Medicare."

Cost controls never work
They lead to rationing
Won’t be any real cost control because along with the rationing you add millions to the free healthcare.

That stupid sonuvabitch (who has never held a job in the private sector, never had to meet a payroll, never run a business, has only run his MOUTH) doesn’t realize that when a government bureaucracy is created for ANY purpose, that it is going to end up costing MORE money than what it did before the government got involved.
SOMEbody has to pay for the administrative costs, the oversight, the reviews, the management, all of that crap, and that ‘somebody’ is YOU and ME, the taxpayers of this once great Nation that is being dragged down the slope to socialism by this 0bamunist regime and their thug enforcers.
This isn’t even ABOUT health care, what it is all about is further government expansion, more power over the population, and continued erosion of the few civil liberties we have left.
If the government is running health care, the government will be able to subsequently run the manufacture and distribution of foodstuffs, because after all, you can’t be healthy if you’re eating the ‘wrong’ foods, right?
In the second ‘Omen’ movie (Damien II), the CEO of Thorn Industries (’Paul Buher’, played by Robert Foxworth) makes an ‘ominous’ statement which is, “hold a knife to a man’s belly and he’ll keep his hands at his sides” and that is exactly the same end game that this 0bamunist pack of thugs is playing. Believe it.
One has to go back to this sign on a Concentration Camp to find a lie of this magnitude. (With the possible exception of Bill Clinton's "I did not have sex with that woman!")

I just realized something today. Obama said this mom got cancer , thought she beat it then it came back now they have tens of thousands debt.
Guess what Obama, each family has tens of thousands of debt its called the national debt and you want to add another 10 thousand to the 40 I already owe. Let the healthy live, Obama! don’t burn down a city to catch one shoplifter.
I don’t suppose the President bothered to identify any of the “serious Republican proposals” he “incorporated” into the plan.
Because forcing everyone to buy coverage and foring insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions will obviously drive down costs... /s

Let me guess, he’ll put controls on prices for the services, and that will of course contain all costs. If the price of cotton or crude oil goes up, too bad.
