Sarah Palin raising cash for John McCain
Politico ^ | 3/8/10 | Andy Barr

Posted on 03/09/2010 9:49:05 AM PST by pissant

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is helping out her former running mate with a high dollar fundraiser at the Arizona Biltmore.

Palin will be courting contributions for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) – the GOP’s 2008 presidential nominee – on March 23 as part of her swing through Arizona to aide his re-election campaign.

For $2,500, McCain donors can attend an hour-long reception with the former GOP vice presidential nominee and get a chance for a picture with Palin.

Those not attending the reception can pay $500 each for a two-hour dinner, or $1,000 for preferred seating.

Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), along with Arizona GOP Reps. Jeff Flake, Trent Franks and John Shadegg will also be at the fundraiser.

You were saying ...

I thought she was only going to endorse him just to say she endorsed him and that was before JD entered the race.

I don't know where you got that idea. Perhaps it was from some of these Palin Derangement Syndrome people who were "setting you up" beforehand and making you think that... :-)

Sarah Palin never said that in anything that I ever read.

You were saying ...

Sarah attack ping.

Ain't that the truth!

When a Sarah Palin article shows up, it's either the attack dogs of the liberal left -- or -- the attack dogs of the Palin Derangement Syndrome types...

You can almost count on it coming from those two "rabid groups".

Jeff Flake is as true-blue Conservative as they come; practically the only Republican in history to have (occasionally) beaten Ron Paul for the National TaxPayers Union's #1 ranking. If he's supporting McCain as well, then Sarah's hardly alone.

Regrettably, McCain is part of the GOP power structure. Conservatives like Flake and Palin who want to actually "get things done" (and Flake in particular has done some small, but excellent, work for fiscal conservatism) may have to be willing to work with him. Just a thought...

She has made her choice and now real conservatives will have to work that much harder to defeat McCain....and, unfortunately, along with him, Palin.

Not me... I'm going for Sarah Palin. I don't make a practice of shooting myself in the head, when I've got a headache... doncha know... LOL...

Horsebucky! For the most part, it has been reasoned, thoughtful, and penetrating. Keep trying to get anyone who is critical of Palin banned.

Ummmm..., I don't think it's posters here who do the banning (or can even influence it)... I would be looking at Jim Thompson, if I were you ... :-)

McCain has an 80% Conservative rating from ACU

Your over statements are over reaching.

anti freedom, anti liberty.

“McCain has an 80% Conservative rating from ACU”

Not the last 10 years, he hasn’t....more like 60%. Hayworth is 97.5.

Flake is also an open borders flake

From what I've read, he has a moderate stance on immigration -- hardly a full-blown open-borders liberal, anyway.

And, even if he is a little weak on that one issue (and I admit that's a shame), he's still one of only eight House members to receive a 100% approval rating from the American Conservative Union. Sorry, but I don't want to make the perfect the enemy of the good, and Flake is one of the good ones. IMHO.

I am about ready to split from here. Delusional is the word here now. Seems reality and debate is over.

Perhaps the name here should be changed to Palinocracy.com

Excuse me?

What did I write which you found objectionable -- my support for Jeff Flake, or my attempt to offer a theory of why he might be supporting McCain?

McCain has an 80% Conservative rating from ACU

So what?

McCain got a 65 percent in 2006.

Not uncommon for Libertarians to call Conservatives anti freedom, anti liberty.

Are you calling McCain a conservative?

The same McCain who wanted to kill the First Amendment with his McCain-Feingold legislation?

The same McCain who wanted to rape the rule of law with his McCain-Kennedy legislation?

The same McCain who supported the fascist bailouts?

Your Neo Leftist Libertarians are the Obama tools.

No, folks like you who blindly bend over for RINOs like McCain (i.e., RINO apologists) are the Obama tools.

"[Conservatives are] going to destroy the f*cking [Republican] party...
Why would I want to be the leader of a party of such a**holes?"

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, UNKNOWN

"I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have
no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 02 APR. 2004

"I have to tell you, [Obama] is a decent person, a person that you
do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 10 OCT. 2008

"I would rather have a clean government
than one whose — quote — First Amendment rights
are being respected that has become corrupt.
If I had my choice, I’d rather have a clean government."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 24 APR. 2006

"I believe climate change is real."
U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 23 FEB. 2010

"I have great respect for Al Gore."
U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 02 OCT. 2008

"In the long term, if you alienate the Hispanics, you’ll pay a heavy price.
By the way, I think the fence is least effective.
But I’ll build the g***amned fence if they want it."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, FEB. 2007

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts...
