Do you miss George W. Bush? [we won't miss you - ZOT!]

When former President George W. Bush addresses the Economic Club of Grand Rapids in June, will he be riding a wave of nostalgia?

New York Times columnist Stanley Fish points to a few signs that Bush's image rehab has begun. One literally is a sign -- a billboard in Minnesota with an image of a smiling, waving Bush and a message that reads, "Miss Me Yet?"

He also notes a Newsweek cover story that vindicates Bush's Iraq policy, "Mission Accomplished" and everything.

Fish writes that Bush nostalgia, if it indeed exists, is the result both of Bush's relative silence since leaving office and growing public frustration with the Obama administration:

Bush profited from the fact that he kept a low profile and didn't snipe at his successor, a task left to his vice president, who therefore took upon himself the enmity and scorn previously directed at his former boss...

"...a recent Newsmax/Zobgy poll says that in a hypothetical election between Obama and Bush, Obama still wins by 10 points."

If this poll is accurate, then no!

Actually it's a result of the Pravda Media no longer being able to persist in the lies that Iraq is not "winable", that there was no Islamic terrorist threat around the globe, and that Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac were in fine fiscal shape as Barney Frank told us when he attacked Boosh for wanting more oversight back in 2003.

Yes - I felt safe and certain that he loves America.

I do not miss the constant barrage of vicious hatred aimed at President Bush from all directions. It was demeaning to the office and damaging to the Nation.

Not only do I miss George W. Bush, I am beginning to miss Jimmy Carter. At least Carter didn’t kill the country...though his policies nearly killed a lot of us.

Yeah, but I need to have the sights adjusted.

Just kidding, folks.

...add to that Obama has flipflopped on “issues” like closing Gitmo and trying war criminal terrorists as “ordinary criminals” in NYC court (when they never touched ground in America in the first place) and it validates SOME of Bush’s policies.

Does it mean that Bush was a great president? No. It points out that the Pravda Media overstated their case against him.

Yes - adults. I loved V.P. Cheney, Ari Fleischer, Dana Perino, Tony Snow, Condi Rice.

Compare the above press secretaries to Gibbs. He always has that stupid little arrogant smirk on his face. He is always talking down to people.

I dread to think what will be found in the White House when this bunch moves out.

I miss that they repealed the “dissent is patriotic” rule when Bush left office.
