We're not buying it, O

Once again, Barack Obama is a happy pitch man. He's on stage with a microphone, jacket off, sleeves rolled up, his voice rising and falling as he tries to whip the big crowds into revival-tent fervor.

He's still peddling Hope & Change, although now he calls it health-care reform. He swears his miracle elixir will save your life, your money and your country.

It will do anything you could possibly want -- unless you want the truth.

Then you're squat out of luck. See, truth is a pre-existing condition not covered by ObamaCare.

We used to arrest people for selling snake oil. Now we elect them.

“We used to arrest people for selling snake oil. Now we elect them.”

We not only elected a snake oil seller, we elected a snake.

Fine, let's amuse ourselves with the spectacle of a sacrifice or two [of some WH official]. But let's not kid ourselves. The president is the problem.

That's the problem.

From the article:
The country is as divided and demoralized as ever, and the big economic and national security problems are getting the shaft while he plays Ahab, chasing his white whale.
Well said.

“We used to arrest people for selling snake oil.”

We are going to start practicing this again.

His sleeves are rolled up—he’s serious and we should now listen because he’s working hard for us. Sheesh. I’ll bet he also said “let me be clear” and/or “make no mistake”.

This entire health care reform debacle has been very enlightening. In their desperation to get it into law the liberals, particularly Dems, have really shown their true colors. What a spectacle. Every bad thing you've always thought of them when it comes to being the party of dirty politics has been borne our by their actions since they and Obama took over running the country.

The stimulus actions were pretty revealing, but the health care push has really shown them for what they are. Now, with the Massa thing they have taken to eating their own.

The longer this thing drags on, the more unmasked they are going to be. They are approaching the level of feeding frenzy, and the voters are finally seeing them for the pitiful bunch of self-centered bastards they are.

Absolutely every dirty political trick you can imagine has been used from outright bribery in Louisiana Purchase and the Cornhusker Kickback, to one of their all-time favorites of the politics of personal destruction. To top it off, they are considering moves that are unconstitutional and just plain wrong-headed.

Watch and learn, America! As bad as you thought the Bush years were, you're seeing now, first-hand and up close, just how low these bastards will go.

Talk about the perfect storm! This November's election gives the voters a chance to kick out BOTH the Speaker and the Senate leader! Only happens once every six years, and isn't it great it comes along right now, just as they are giving daily demonstrations of how totally inept and dishonest they are!

Well, he did say that he was not a bolshevik.
Now why would he say that?

"President" Obama can rant and rave about "health care" (read, deathcare/CONTROL), he can continue to hold all of the phony "town hall" meetings, and college campus speeches filled with sycophant Obamessiah groupie "Yes we can", communist, socialist, ACORN PLANTS that he wants. He can continue to set all of the end of the world if it does not pass deadlines he wants. Heck he can dance naked in the street screaming at the top of his lungs: "I will get 'health care' passed if it is the last thing I do even if it kills me!" and "Please, do it for Wellstone and Teddy", "do it for the children", all he wants.

He can continue to plant his angry face on TV every day of the week, and give teleprompter diatribes on "healthcare" (read DEATHCARE/C O N T R O L)that no one will watch, because frankly, the American people are sick and tired of seeing this angry, LITTLE, black man-child who has never run or accomplished ANYTHING in his entire life belittle, berate and blame EVERYONE from George Bush to the "evil" doctors and insurance companies, BUT HIMSELF, for his own failures for the remainder of his so-called "presidency".

Obama can do ALL of the above ad infinitem while being lauded by the state run media and IT WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE, because the overwhelming majority of Americans want nothing to do with Obama and the democRATS deathcare bill; WE ARE AMERICANS, WE DO NOT WANT OR BELIEVE IN COMMUNISM, we DO NOT WANT OR BELEIVE IN SOCIALISM, we DO NOT WANT OR BELIEVE IN MARXISM, and that is exactly what Obamas so-called "healthcare" (read DEATHCARE/C O N T R O L)" bill really is.

The more Obama, Pelosi and Reed rant and rave and threaten, the more we are opposed to this monstrosity. The more the democRAT socialist/ "progressive" communists try and shove this down our collective throats, the STONGER WE WILL RESIST THEM.

America and the world see you for what you are: Mr. Obama, YOU are a failure, YOUR "progressive" communist/socialist/Marxist "health care" bill is a colossal FAILURE; it is evil, it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and Americans will never support it no matter who you BRIBE, who you threaten, who you manipulate into supporting it.

Resist! Resist! Resist! In your heart you know what to do. Don’t let these socialist/marxist thugs ruin our America. Be creative. Never give up the fight against these worthless tools.

He also said in response to McCain that he did not launch his political career in Bill Ayers’ “living room”. He’s right, it was the TV room!

Great post. It was a con from the start. -I Heard Dennis Miller the other day calling him a smooth talker, BSer.

This would of been called racist a year ago.

Miller gives him far too much credit. Floors me whenever people wax on and on about his “smoothness” or his “dazzling oratory”.

The guy’s a bumbling, stuttering gaffe machine. He’s a HORRIBLE speaker.

In his second memoir, Obama wrote about his special skill. "I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views," he confessed.

He was too modest, leaving out the part about his excellent talent for playing on people's desires. The combination is key to every good con, and it was key to his election -- he said what much of the country wanted to hear about optimism and restoring a national unity of purpose.

Interesting, his special skill is manipulation. This is from an interview when he was at Harvard

From link, 1990 interview

...he responds warily to the assumption that he himself will run for office. “If I go into politics it should grow out of work I’ve done on the local level, not because I’m some media creation.” Though, as media creations go, he’d be a pretty good one. --vanity fair 1990
