I think it would be hilarious if the homosexuals in San Francisco reactivated the “Lavender Panthers” of the 1970s (which died out with AIDS).
The purpose of the LP was simple and halfway respectable. They trained in martial arts with the idea of defending homosexuals against outsiders who went into their area to physically attack them. As such, they were something of a defensive militia. They likewise had legitimacy because the police of the time were less inclined to prevent violent acts against homosexuals.
But I like the idea for another reason. A reconstituted LP should have a campus presence to oppose radical Muslim organizations that openly threaten to murder homosexuals. As such, the LP might find common purpose with Jewish organizations, who are likewise threatened with murder by these same Muslim organizations.
An important note is that most of the LPs were large men, and construction/blue collar workers, not “pink” homosexuals.
Couldn't we just line them up in a circle and give them guns?
