Yeah, when I started out a career in insurance 20 years ago, it seemed like a good solid career choice. Not so much lately.

Same goes for the accounting industry, particularly those that are over 50. I've never worked Big 4, but they've laid off 25% of their staff over the past year, and there's a ripple effect. I was unemployed for six months last year.
