AP poll has Obama at 53%, but …
Hot Air ^ | MARCH 10, 2010 | ED MORRISSEY

The latest AP poll seems like it has great news for Barack Obama. After all, it puts his approval rating at 53%, even while scorn for Congress increases. But how exactly did the AP poll come up with an approval rating ten points above today’s Rasmussen result? The answer lies in both the survey type and the sample:

The latest Associated Press-GfK poll found that fewer people approve of Congress than at any point in Obama’s presidency. Support has dropped significantly since January to a dismal 22 percent as the health care debate has roiled Capitol Hill. Neither Republicans nor Democrats are safe; half of all people say they want to fire their congressman.

Conversely, Obama’s job-performance standing is holding fairly steady at 53 percent. And over the past two months, the Democrat has gained ground on national security issues, specifically the subsiding Iraq war and the escalating Afghanistan war, as he has spent most of his time — at least publicly — on domestic matters like the economy and health care. On those issues, he still has the support of about half the people.

Frankly I think a lot of people who don’t like Obama lie and tell pollsters they do because if they say otherwise they’re afraid of being considered “racist”. IMHO this skews the polls in a pro-Obama direction by at least ten percent.

The AP is living in a dream world and, POTUS Obama is living in a totally failed presidency and....the overwhelming majority of the American people know it.

OBAMA POLL (pick one):

[ ] I love everything Obama is doing. He's great! I approve!
[ ] I am a racist.

Adults vs. registered/likely voters. The former always show higher support for Obama and democrats in general.

And given the recent elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, I don't know how anyone could honestly believe that Obama's real approval is still 53%.

I wouldn’t worry about it. It's an AP “poll” after all. Thy never release polls that are unfavorable to 0bozo, even most other polls including Gallup has 0bozo under 50%. It's an ideological thing with them. The Messiah can do no wrong as far as AP is concerned.
Their 2008 presidential elections polls were not great either. Even Daioly Kos polls beat them:

Of course Rasmussen was the # 1 pollster going by accuracy, again..as usual.

Remember AP polls are weighted. They simply say they did not talk to enough democrat’s and weight the poll to what those people would have said.

The AP-GFK poll uses 45% D, 34% R, and 20% I. It’s possible ObamaCare’s numbers are even worse than the AP-GFK poll suggests, but beyond that, there’s even more troubling information inside. Obama is completely out of step with America’s priorities right now.

I agree and I also think this got him millions of votes in the 2008 election. Would he have won without these votes? I don't know but I do know the way some whites think about this and if Obama had been white with his qualifications he never would have got out of the primaries. He simply has none of those things you would want as president. Hopefully we can get through to these idiots and they can realize how foolish they are.

What is wrong with polling 33% Democrats, 33% Republicans, and 33% Independents?????

WRONG !!!!

If Obama had been white with his qualifications he never would have got *INTO* the primaries.

There...that’s better...

I am glad there are polls like this, the left will gladly latch on to these phony polls and get lulled into thinking their man is just fine...

Then WHAM!!!! in November reality will hit them upside the head like a brick, and they will be jumping off of bridges when the REAL American take back their country.
