The only faith I have ever had in government, other than military protection, has been in its persistent desire to loot me, rob me, cheat me, steal from me, and do whatever it takes to keep me in line for more of the same.
I have not lost one iota crumb of that faith; in fact, Obama and the Dem Wrecking Crew have validated it.
Please, God, bless us with a totally gridlocked, impotent, and “stingy” government. Thank You. Amen.

I'm sure they do, as any control freak would be expected to. The problem for them is that they think that the armed forces are full of programmable robots who are incapable of thinking for themselves and have never cracked a book in their lives. They sneer at soldiers as not being fit for anything better.
The worst sin of intellectual arrogance is to be unaware of the limits of one's own understanding. If the worst were to come to pass- that would be their vulnerability.
I’ve still not found any such quote by Lincoln, it doesn’t seem to jive with anything that I’ve found so far, that’s by Lincoln.
Lincoln seemed more into protecting the constitution and law, the rest was in the hands of the people.
That quote sounds like it’s from a progressive or some such (or from Obama and his nasty imagination).
I could believe it was written by Lincoln Steffens or Jane Addams.
Well, I’m done with searching for tonight, hopefully somebody will figure out if it’s something made up by Obama or an actual quote.

ObamaCare represents the 20th century socialistic view of Govt - people cannot do it themselves so Govt will take over.

And your tagline from Henry V also nails perfectly maybe the CENTRAL thing about Obama that is most troubling, since it’s at the core of his corelessness, and might even be
sensed ever so slightly now by even those gullible and “born-yesterday” enough to have voted for him:
namely, that there is nothing remotely American about him, there is no blood-tie to this country or its history, however messed up it might be (one doesn’t have to go any further than John McCain for this comparison).
This entire area is to me the most sadly fascinating thing about him-—how it is that we (d)evolved into the kind of society that would even CONSIDER electing a man like this, let alone electing him with all the eerie pomp and circumstance that attended the dreamy and tearful rituals of his election and inauguration/coronation.
I am working on expanding these ideas, along with , what to me is the ersatz icing on the cake: the idea that Obama, the “post-racial” Messiah, was sold ( and, worse, accepted)
as someone who came readymade, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, with a very large quotient of ‘moral authority’-—it was all part of the package, and no one ever questioned why, or where, or how all that moral authority was carried by this individual , why or how it was bestowed upon him, or what he in fact did to EARN it. (Was being a rabble-rousing community organizer enough? Why then has Jesse Jackson , someone way more accomplished in the mumbo-jumbo of grievance politics, not to mention identity politics, not even gotten close to being elected President?)
I hold the MSM, and its endless supply of talking heads/pundits responsible for the larger part of that: our larger project of ridding ourselves of incumbent Democrats and RINOS and political whackos calling themselves Independents, is going to have to include MSM news types, who continue to be able to ply their trade courtesy of a kind of reverse of an unfunded mandate:
the only reason they are there at all, foisting themselves on us, is because the REST of the programming they’re part of is still healthy enough to keep THEM going, even though NO ONE wants to listen to them.
Remember, to Obama the Constitution is a “charter of negative liberties.” It does not state what the government can do for you on your own behalf. That pretty well sums up his thoughts on the role of government.
He thinks that government ought to have free reign to do for (to) you everything they think needs getting done; like (re-)educating you, taking your means of self-defense, taking over your means of production, making sure you’re consuming properly. You know, the little things. He thinks that government needs to be an indispensable part of your daily life, that which provides all things.

True. Keep in mind, though that many foreign troops would have no sense of kinship with American citizens, and some might have no compunctions about being downright brutal with the citizenry. Nor would they have any loyalty to --nor oath to be loyal to-- our Constitution and our Rights as set described there. Combined with a language barrier, the possibility of atrocity would be high, and even the rumor of such would strengthen American resolve in most quarters although some would roll over and lick boots.
