THE Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, was set to withdraw from all peace talks with Israel last night after the announcement this week that 1600 apartments would be added to Jewish settlements in occupied East Jerusalem.The announcement enraged the visiting US Vice-President, Joe Biden, who has told the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, that it was liable to ''set the Middle East on fire''.

Prolly cause the RATS considered foreign policy to be Obummer’s biggest area of weakness. Uncle Joe is considered by them to be an authority in foreign policy (I kid you not) because of his long service (and chairmanship) of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee).

I think Biden was picked for VP because Obama is a malignant narcissist. Although vain to the point of mental illness, malignant narcissists are also, deep down, unbelievably insecure. Obama couldn’t run the risk of picking someone who might show him up in any way, so he picked a guy he could look and feel superior to at any time. Fwiw.
That makes good sense. But it is just sickening that we have a guy playing president on tv who picked such a goofball to be the #2. If we had had a horrible situation where GWBush was unable to fullfill his duties, Mr. Cheney would have been a very competant executive to fill the role of President. The dim party is treating the executive branch as a joke.

I agree, but I think they’re doing it to their own destruction. When Biden was first picked, I talked to Dems who thought he was a wise, competent choice. Fewer and fewer if them are seeing him that way now. The MSM can spin all day, but fewer people rely on them, and more and more are using the Internet. Believe me, Biden’s true, mentally impaired self is showing through, and it’s just one more reason Obama’s poll numbers are tanking.
