(Reuters) - President Barack Obama is "outraged" by the murders in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico of three people connected with the U.S. consulate there, a White House official said on Sunday.

"In concert with Mexican authorities, we will work tirelessly to bring their killers to justice," White House National Security Council spokesman Mike Hammer said in a statement.

A consulate employee and her husband, both U.S. citizens, were killed along with the husband of another employee who is a Mexican citizen, the statement said.

"The president is deeply saddened and outraged by the news," Hammer said, adding that Obama "shares in the outrage of the Mexican people at the murders of thousands in Ciudad Juarez and elsewhere in Mexico.

Mexico's drug war has killed some 18,600 people,

If he were really “outraged”, he’d shut the border and do illegal sweeps and round-ups and kick any and all ILLEGALS out.

Thats what you get for appearing weak internationally Obama the Pretender.

Your apologiism for America's past ois now coming home to roost Obama! You are now proven to be the most idiotic ideological pretender this nation has ever tolerated in the executive office of the nation. You should not even be a janitor in the White House. You don't rate even that job.

And this is just the beginning. Obama weakness will cause many of our consulates and embassies to be attacked around the world just as they were when the weakness of Carter brought about the same!

Obama your conduct has been treasonous!

Actions speak louder than words. He’s good at talking and talking and talking but I don’t see him DOING anything to stop the violence. What did he do when the University of Texas at Brownsville had to lock down the campus due to gun fire coming across the border? Nothing. What did he do when Mexican army troops came across the border? Nothing. Did he do anything about the helicopter that came across a few days ago? No, he did nothing. The only thing he’s doing is encouraging the drug dealers and killers to come into America. He wants them to have amnesty, free room and board, free health and education, and the right to vote him in next time around.

“”The president is deeply saddened and outraged by the news,” Hammer said, adding that Obama “shares in the outrage of the Mexican people at the murders of thousands in Ciudad Juarez and elsewhere in Mexico.”

But NOT a word about the thousands and thousands of USA citizens murdered in our own country by Mexico’s citizens.

Michelle is going to Mexico this week. I’m sure she’ll be really tough on Mexico...NOT.

Other US citizens have been murdered, abused, robbed and otherwise mistreated by Mexicans in Mexico and on this side of the border. Obama, as well as other national politicians, has shown any interest except to encourage Mexico. Now someone connected to the consulate is involved it is becoming an issue? Just shows that there is a difference between the peons and royalty.

Yep.

Just in:

Axelrod: Illlegal immigration won’t be addressed in health bill

White House senior adviser David Axelrod made clear Sunday that concerns within the Hispanic Caucus about the exclusion of illegal immigrants from the healthcare exchange won’t be addressed under the current legislation.

Responding to the concerns of Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) and others when asked by host Candy Crowley on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Axelrod said President Barack Obama believes “this is not the vehicle through which to address our immigration issue.”

Axelrod stressed that legal immigrants will be able to purchase insurance through a national health insurance exchange.

Resolutions about illegal immigration are for another time, another bill, Axelrod said.

“This is not the place for this nor is this the place to resolve dipsutes over abortion,” he said, referring to the continuing dispute with Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) and his coalition. “I believe as the week those on these issues will clarify themselves.”

And then immigration reform could be next, he said.

“We have to resolve the larger question, which is the status of undocumented workers in this country,” Axelrod said. “We can’t solve it in the context of this debate.”

Axelrod said the White House is “very optimistic” about the health bill’s passage.

I had not heard of this incident. You’d think it would be ALL over the news....

More:

US consular employee killed in Mexico shooting

(AFP) – 1 hour ago

WASHINGTON — Unidentified killers have murdered an American employee of the US consulate in a Mexican border city along with her American husband and the husband of another consular employee, the White House said Sunday.

Mike Hammer, the spokesman, said the dead included an American employee of the consulate, her American husband, and the husband of a Mexican consular employee.

The statement did not provide details of the incident in Ciudad Juarez, where more than 2,600 people were murdered last year in drug-related violence.

and

Meanwhile, the State Department has authorised government employees at six US consulates in northern Mexico to send their family members out of the area over concerns about rising drug-related violence.

The six consulates are in the border cities of Tijuana, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez, Nuevo Laredo, Monterrey and Matamoros.

Drug wars

The three victims were killed in drive-by shootings on Saturday afternoon, a US official told the BBC on condition of anonymity, citing privacy considerations.

The White House statement did not provide any details of the incident in Ciudad Juarez, where more than 2,600 people were murdered last year in drug-related violence.

Recent violent attacks have led the US Embassy in Mexico City to advise American citizens to delay unnecessary travel to parts of the Mexican states of Durango, Coahuila and Chihuahua, the State Department said in a statement on Sunday.

On Saturday, 13 people were killed in an outbreak of drug-related violence in the southern Mexican beach resort of Acapulco, officials said.

Acapulco is one of Mexico’s biggest tourist resorts, but in recent years it has been the scene of bloody turf wars between rival drug cartels.

“need our troops on the border now.”

One of the provisions of CIR/ASAP, the amnesty bill being pushed, is that NO national guard will EVER be allowed on the border.
