Graham should just come out of the closet and declare himself to be what is obvious to everyone — a socialist tool of the political class.

"All you've done is talk about what we should do," he said. "Now is the time to lead.",p> So, Lindsey is trying to light a fire under Obama to get him on board for a big amnesty push this year? I'd be banned if I wrote what I really think of this SC RINO stand-in for Juan McCain.

Graham should just come out of the closet and declare himself to be what is obvious to everyone a socialist tool of the political class.
As true as that may be, in this case Graham is actually saying the right thing, politically.
I believe it's generally understood that in the wake of the Dems taking control of the government to a degree not seen since the 1970s, EVERY major liberal special interest coalition began making their support of the Obama/Dem Leadership agenda contingent upon THEIR policies being enacted as well.
So, in order to get the Stimulus through, Obama traded off unwavering support for Health Care Reform (Congressional Black Caucus and unions), Card Check (unions), Immigration Reform (Congressional Hispanic Caucus), etc, etc.
This is why I think the Dems are bending themselves into pretzels to get HCR through ... they've cut a trade that they can't walk away from. They HAVE to go kamikaze because their coalition will fracture otherwise.
The Hispanic Caucus and supporting special interest fully expect that Immigration Reform WILL follow HCR. Graham, in making this comment, is serving to divide the Dem's coalition by undermining the notion that Obama fully supports the top item for Hispanic Dems. That's a good thing, because if they think that Obama isn't going to carry through on THEIR big agenda item, they may be unwilling to further support the rest of the agenda.

I hope this gets circulated far and wide to Hispanics and no one else.

Graham is actually trying to get to the left of Obama on immigration! Sheesh! What a jerk.

Just my thought! It’s something when a US Senator from SC stakes himself to the left of our first Marxist President.

I think Nancy Grahamnesty is one of those kooks who likes any attention any way possible — good or bad. He can’t stand to be ignored. Fortunately, he reveals a lot about himself, unlike sneakier RINOs.

I don't like Graham much but I kinda like it that he's saying this today.
He may knock some House Dems off the fence into the "no" column on the Health Care bill; their voting is contingent on whether or not Zero gives the illegals what they want.
To: tanknetter
I’d like to think you are right and that Graham is playing political chess with Obama’s various interest groups in an effort to fracture them and any coalitions, but his history with McCain, Kennedy, Schumer, et al, tells me that he is simply another RINO pushing Big Government down the throats of the People, and solidifying a permanent base of Big Government voters for the political class.
