Palestinians fueled by anger over what they see as Israeli expansions into Palestinian-dominated areas clash with police in East Jerusalem.

Rising political and religious tensions in Jerusalem spilled into the streets Tuesday with a string of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police that left more than 100 people injured.

In scenes reminiscent of past uprisings, dozens of Palestinian youths, some with scarves masking their faces, pelted police with rocks, blocked roads and burned tires in half a dozen neighborhoods around East Jerusalem.

Israeli police, who have been on high alert for days, responded with tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades, witnesses said.

Nine police officers were wounded in the skirmishes and 60 Palestinians were arrested, according to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

Dozens of Palestinians were treated for tear-gas inhalation, and two men were hit in the face with rubber bullets, Palestinians said.

Personally I wouldn’t blame Clinton for that. Might disagree with his actions, less on Israel than other issues, but he never did anything to incite anti-Israel violence or antisemitism. Obama owns the terror this time around.

I disagree. He was so egotistical and SO sure of his own ability to snowjob ANYONE that he tried firstly to do a snowjob on that master of snowjobs, Yasser, and secondly snowjob the Saudi Royal family. He just KNEW he had earned that coveted Nobel Peace Prize. He LOST. In the beginning of August, I was writing urgent warnings to the Israeli government, State and DoD of the coming intifada, which I could only describe as “imminent”. They were ignored. Less than 3 weeks later, it all exploded. Not ALL because of, but egged along by, Bill Clinton's massive ego, total ignorance of his opponents (cringe) and need for a lasting legacy.
