Got mine yesterday and put it on the bottom of my bills box. It wasn't made out to me. Just 'Resident" - not "resident OR me" -
I;ve been living here, in my own house, for 3 censuses now. If they don't have my name on file, I deem the form to "resident' not to me.
I shall not be sending it in. I'm rather wondering what they will do with a white haired old great granny who can't even 'remember' getting a form - I certainly didn't get one sent to ME. And I can say that truthfully.
LOL.
Here's the part that I find amazing: the Postal Service is an absolute mess - can't get a birthday card from one city to the next in less than a week. However, last week we got that "heads-up" letter announcing the impending delivery of the census forms and sure enough, there it was in the Monday delivery.
Just another example of how the government looks out for itself first - every time.
I may just have to give the census employees a bad time too, just for the sheer fun of it. I'm quite capable of rattling off a sentence or two in convincing German (with a Bavarian accent) - and I'll just *bet* that none of the ACORN urbanites who come to my door could understand a syllable of that. ;-)
