It would be nice for Katy do the same. You'd be surprised how many people would ride into Houston on old style train, and Katy's got the History.

Cool idea!!! We need a RR Museum here in Cypress also!
(History of Cypress Railroad Station)
And then we could ride into Houston on the old-style train as well!!!

My grandfather was a brakeman on the Katy Railroad for more than 40 years. He and my grandmother lived in Smithville, which is where I was born.

There is a Katy Railroad park and I believe, a small museum there..........

It’s not much, but it’s a start—LOL!

There’s probably some stimulus funds laying around looking for a home...

I like trains, too. My HO set is all Conrail, as I did some contract programming for them back in ‘79 and the guy I was working with gave me my first loco.

There is a railroad bed on the north side of I-10...most of the old freight tracks have been removed.....

The old tracks stymied development but now there are essential businesses such as hospitals that just can't be block by train traffic.

PLUS....METRO has worn out its welcome in this town....investigations & indictments may soon appear.

The writer is perfectly free to fund a railway museum if he so chooses, and can find similarly like-minded folks to contribute their resources to the goal. It appears to me like he's just like all the rest of the other california transplants that want to steal money from their neighbors to fund his own special interest.

Like locusts, liberals despoil an area, then move on to the next one.
