I had a friend in the Marine Corps who liked to mess around with black powder pistols and gunpowder and stuff. He made some homemade “flash powder” one day and he was smoking a cigarette (Lucky Strike non filters). The ash fell from the end of his cig he was holding in his mouth and fell into the container of flash powder. It exploded and he got severely burned. He damn near got court martialed....................

I noticed you used “HAD A FRIEND”. Smart move.
I saw a guy almost shoot himself in the foot trying to do the “COWBOY SPIN” with a double action revolver.

Did it go off when he tried to spin it into the holster or did he drop it?...........

Are these guys for real? They have 58,000 rounds of ammo, they use 11,000 rounds a year, they say. 58/11 is 5.28(roughly)years that they wouldn't have to buy ammo. If they are cutting the size of the force that would give them even more years without having to buy ammo. Ammo will normally not deteriorate if stored properly.

If their puny brains can't figure that one out, perhaps selling it on the open market and using the money to fund the police fund for a given period of time. Politicians must be required to undergo a lobotomy after being elected.

Just as he started into the spin.
He had a S&W .357mag mod 19 that he said he did it with all the time. He tried doing it with my S&W mod 57 .41mag. Heavier gun, and I’ve had some trigger work done on it. He started that spin, and I knew what was going to happen. I just tried to backup and get out of the way.

I couldn’t stop him, so I just figured somebody’s got to carry the news to the family.
