Capitol Hill cops decry bullying staff members (staff avoids metal detectors)
The Hill ^ | March 17 | Jordy Yager

Posted on 03/17/2010 9:53:23 AM PDT by PghBaldy

...Several officers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told The Hill that without a written directive of the policy, they’re left to face bullying staffers and intimidating lawmakers who have been known to file complaints against the officers. The staffers have accused them of discourteous treatment after being stopped and directed to the magnetometers.

...The problems enforcing security protocol surfaced less than two weeks after a gunman dressed like a Pentagon employee opened fire on two officers at an entrance to the building, wounding three officers in the process. And three years ago, a staff member for Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) was arrested trying to carry a loaded pistol and two loaded ammunition clips into the Russell Senate Office Building in a briefcase.

The House does not require criminal background checks to be conducted on the 8,000 staff members who work with lawmakers.

Maybe they should close down all metal dectectors in Washington. Think that would get their attention eventually?

Let’s get this over with right now. Ship these little thugs and their masters to Cuba to live under a rule they dearly love. I am sure Castro could use some new blood to take the place of the blood he has spilled over the years.

Yup. I’d like to see those cops turn their backs on all of those self important asshat aides and staffers. Let some raghead with a dynamite vest pay them a visit. Then they’ll be more attentive to the cops’ requests for following the rules.

I'm just betting all such staffers work for things starting with a (D).

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

“a staff member for Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) was arrested trying to carry a loaded pistol and two loaded ammunition clips into the Russell Senate Office Building...”

Next time, let ‘em through. And make sure all the bullying is documented as protection for the guards.

Congress has an intern program for young members of CAIR. I get, no checks for elected officials. They were chosen by the people. I had to do a 30 page questionaire, to get a Secret clearance in the military. I had to name all family and friends. Name all their addresses’, phone numbers, and length of relationship. Go through a credit check. List all employers etc.. The NSA then did a cursory check. No employee hired for Service in Congress, should be exempt from a background check. PERIOD!

I had a DOE clearance back in the 90's...same kind of thing.

Then came the Klintoon administration regime, and since then, it's only got worse.
