What do principles matter if you get to fly on Air Force One with President Obama? Senators Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu needed millions of dollars to throw out their principles. Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio only needed a joy ride. I hope the guy at least got to meet the pilot and take home a pair of tiny wings for his jacket.
Kucinich has vehemently attacked Obamacare since it first appeared to have no universal coverage. The Congressman has passionately pursued universal, single-payer health care since hes been in office. It is his big issues (besides being a complete pacifist when it comes to war issues). Yet with one ride on the Presidents plane, Kucinich has flushed all his principles on the subject. And to make matters worse, he offers no real reasons why. He wants Obama to do well is the closest reason he gives. Kucinich merely promises to keep on fighting for what he wants while he votes for a bill he hates.
I do not retract (my) criticisms (of the bill)
I have doubts about the bill. I do not think it is a step toward anything I have supported in the past. This is not the bill I wanted to support
However, after careful discussions with President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, my wife Elizabeth, and close friends, I have decided to cast a vote in favor of the legislation. Rep. Dennis Kucinich

Did he like the probe he got on Air Force One better than the one he got aboard the other alien’s flying craft?
The phone numbers in Ohio are auto forwarding to voice mail boxes that are full and the DC phone is always busy!

You apparently don't recall that Dennis Kucinich was for years a dyed in the wool pro-lifer. Until he inexplicably got the presidential bug. He then miraculously reconsidered and decided that killing babies in the womb was actually OK with him after all.
Dennis Kucinich is a proven spineless weasel who has sold out before for whatever he thinks is politically expedient. This flip-flop does not surprise me much, if at all.
No he didn’t. He always wanted the public option. Obama whispered in his ear on that flight to Ohio that the insurance companies would eventually fail under Obamacare and he would get his wish — a public option.
Thanks, I didn’t know that.
Yeah, I remember GHWB switching to run with Reagan.
