Obama wont fly the US flag in Haiti
The lack of the Stars and Stripes does not sit well with some veterans and servicemembers who say the U.S. government should be proud to fly the flag in Haiti, given the amount of money and manpower the U.S. is donating to help the country recover from the Jan. 12 quake.
The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea.

We should have known then ...
He’s not an American.
This is understandable. He’s a “child of the world” who hates America and everything about it. Including its “unwashed masses”.
He’s ashamed of our flag? I’m ashamed at the idiots who voted for this mutant.
It is good the funds going to Louisiana for Health Care will be going to help the Earthquake Victims in Hawaii.
I guess in Obama’s world view Beggars CAN be Choosers.
I’m not sure if I feel more sadness, or outrage ...
To watch a fellow student who knew him in 1970 talk about him:

Hmmm, maybe it’s a not so subtle reminder that they kicked the French out in 1803 and haven’t done Jack Sh*t with their economy in over 200 years.
Where's LHO when you need him?
This man-child and his fellow progressive/socialist/marxist scum comrades are vile and disgusting, and anathema to all that is America and American.
We DID know then!
Completely and utterly outrageous. This man needs to leave the Presidency and the country ASAP.
Castro and Chavez has already accused the USA of invading and occupying Haiti. We all know that is BS, but Obama doesnât.
I would like to run barry up a flag pole in Haiti......

I wonder how long it will be before he redesigns our flag and deems it the new pride of America.
Unprecedented, historic, wide-ranging, comprehensive and all that.
Barry, could you please go on primetime TV and explain exactly what wrong idea Haitans can get from us flying the flag over our relief camps?
These folks seem pretty happy to see the Marines: http://www.flickr.com/photos/marine_corps/4312105926/in/photostream/
but...does anyone else notice, there is no US flag on the right arm of the uniform?
or, on the left arm, either? http://www.flickr.com/photos/marine_corps/4311369903/in/photostream/
whatsupwith That!?!?
That's probably true, but as I understand it this entire incident was precipitated by the Prime Minister of Haiti, Jean-Max Bellerive. He felt uncomfortable with the fact that the Stars and Stripes were flying over the airport tarmac because, to him, it appeared as though the US was taking over the airport. Bellerive spoke to US Ambassador to Haiti Kenneth Merten, who agreed that flying the flag there wasn't a good idea and he ordered it taken down. Given the dire circumstances, it's hard to fathom the Prime Minister's attitude, particularly when the flags of many other nations are present.
Maybe it all has to do with the flag at the airport location. There seems to be a distinct sensitivity with flying the flag over that particular venue, and not just in Haiti. According to the article that I read, something similar happened in Kuwait during the first Gulf war.
