Pretty soon our governmnet will insist we snitch on our neighbors.

flag@whitehouse.gov was an e-mail address set up in August 2009 by the administration of Barack Obama, President of the United States, to collect "tips" about disinformation concerning health care reform.

That is a lot of new revenue agents. The IRS in 2007 had approximately 88,000 to 89,000 full-time employees (total, not just revenue agents), so 12,000 new revenue agents would be approximately 13.5% of the 2007 number of full-time employees. So, I think it's safe to say that this represents a more than 10% increase in the overall size of the IRS.

Now, if each of those revenue agents is paid a salary of $50,000 per year, that's a minimum aggregate increase in the IRS budget of $600,000,000 - $600 million dollars - per year, for each and every year from now until Obastardcare is repealed.

Of course, none of those expenses will be allocated to Obastardcare under the unicorns-n-fairies scoring by the CBO of the Senate bill; however, since there is a but-for and proximate-cause relationship between Obastardcare and these 12,000 new hires, any legitimate, above-the-board business would have allocated all or most of that new expense to Obastardcare.

When we do that, we see that, even under the DEEM-ocrats' ludicrous, palpably false assumptions that were fed to the CBO for scoring purposes, there are no budget savings from Obastardcare because the enforcement costs alone will eat up all of the supposed budget-savings the DEEM-ocrats are falsely claiming to have created.

No, the only conclusion to draw is that Obastard, Pelosi, and the DEEM-ocrats are intentionally trying to destroy this country.

...government workers can get away with not paying?

The aristos can do that, but not the little people.

A better question might be, who's gonna produce anything worth taxing?

Well, apparently that’s not true. There have been several articles lately about how many government workers are arrears in their taxes and the IRS is not doing anything about it. As that word gets around, more and more will “have problems paying”. They don’t seem to be doing anything about government workers not paying taxes.

Yes, for the first time in my life I am considering moving to another country. Not sure where though, but surprised the idea is swimming around in my head.

I have seen on line a page# and quote from the Senate bill (I did not corroborate), but it says IRS will have access to your bank account to withdraw funds if deemed owed. WOW! There's a scarey thought. Someone hits one wrong key and you're on the hook. Imagine trying to get that error straight.

As it is, the IRS can freeze your account if you owe them and withdraw your money. Mistakes have been made there, and it has taken literally years to straighten out-plus a lawyer. Only imagine the opportunities in this can of worms for the IRS to zap us.

Been to any sporting shows lately?

I’d say there are hundreds of thousands of capable folks out in the heartland.

Don’t count out the true American patriots.

brand new 14” barrelled shotguns. Due to the length of the barrel, you and I would be spending a long time in “club pen” if we posessed one.

True, but if they bring a shorty shotgun to main battle rifle shootout they'll be taking a dirt nap for sure. Now, if they were buying AR10's or M14's I'd be worried.

Freedom is our number one product and resource. People hand it over in trade for the competing product, which is security I think. Freedom entails a certain amount of healthy risk which many fear. They value freedom FROM (responsibility) more than the freedom to. This is all packaged with the feminization of our culture. At one time we had a freedom, risk embracing culture of brave men. Many men have retreated into Alan Alda mode. We need real men to return, to stop worrying about using the correct words, to get grease under their nails again and avoid the salons. Our freedoms depend on this.

I read your post 22 and empathized so much for you. I was simultaneously thinking about how fortunate I am, being old and from a family that does not live long (I’m at about that age that most of us die). Strange, isn’t it?
