He gave us "boomer" kids many hours of great adventure.

Yeah ... had a Davey Crockett jacket as a kid. Didn't have the coonskin hat though (although they were popular) because I didn't want to cover my curly Brylcream enhanced locks. Spent hours getting it just right. Today it's not an issue ... I don't have any ... Brylcream or hair. ;)

Had the hat, no jacket. As kids we'd always go over to an empty field and play "Davey Crockett and Indians."
Ooooh, to relive those days.

A little dab will do ya!

My brother & I had coon skin caps as well as genuine faux flintlocks! Couldn’t get the BB version...Mom put her foot down on that one.

Wow...I’ll be 62 this August but I feel older today somehow.

Channeling Don Drysdale: "You still using that greasy kid stuff?" LOL, those WERE the days!

All my heroes were baseball players and TV cowboys and In'jun fighters. Do you remember the scene where Daniel Boone (Fess Parker) has the one-legged kick fight with the mountain men? You'll know what I mean if you remember it.
