Shuler needs to get support. As a young man at Swain County high he aspired to be a Christian example among the young people, and my cousins responded to that. I’m betting that his opposition is based on abortion and not on finances...at least not totally on finances.

He comes from a religiously conservative district in terms of life, self-protection, etc., and they will expect him to do the right thing.

We should NOT let the abortion issue drop. It is the major issue blocking this legislation.

His time in the emerald city as an nfl qback probably injured his spirit. God is in the resurrection business.

Just when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seemed to be one vote shy of the 216 she needs for health care reform to pass, a Democrat who voted for the bill last year says he's switching his vote to no.
Didn't get his cut? Thanks Chet 99.

Waiting for the right bribe? It's not just Granny and Gramps that is getting whacked so illegals can have free health care.
Thanks GailA!

I will oppose it with every ounce of my being as long as there is breath in me.

I tried calling Arcuri to thank him for his no vote and to urge him to hold fast. Auburn line had a message that the system couldn’t take any more messages. Utica line was busy. Here’s a Utica Club toast to Arcuri if he actually votes no.

Yep, a Utica Club toast to Arcuri, but it will be redacted or will be under reconciliation if he succumbs to Obambi and his ilk.
