If you add in taxes, added bureaucrats, congressional bribes, mandates that insurance companies must insure regardless of pre-existing conditons and covering people not covered now, there is no way that the total cost of health care is going to go down. We have government health care for the elderly - Medicare - which currently has an unfunded liability (promises made that have not yet been funded) of $38 trillion to $75 trillion (depending on the source). Just wait until we have it for everybody.
