If Obama wins the vote...
Vanity | Me

Posted on 03/20/2010 1:16:13 AM PDT by The Watcher

I don't know if Obamacare can be passed, and if it does, survive the legal fights it faces... But, whether it does or not... I think I'm ready for a citizen's revolt. One where I promise that whatever means the fed intends to use to force my compliance with its wishes, I will not comply. For instance, the IRS is part of this scheme to force me to buy insurance. I will refuse to answer thier questions. I will refuse to buy "insurance of their choice", as well. Further, not only would I like to publish this, I'd like to open it up to the public, to add their name and location and their pledge to do the same. If we can get a few million to actually DO this, it will be more than they can deal with. The IRS cannot handle 20, 40, 60 million people refusing to comply. Nor can any other federal agency. The question is, if I or we build the website, and provide the pledge and the ability to publicly display the solemn oath to civil disobedience... Will every Freeper sign? Can we get every Tea Partier to sign? Give me your thoughts. I can have the website up in short order, especially if I can get the help of someone who can write script for me. I have the servers and space. What do you think? Are you ready to take a real oath in defense of what you know is right?

As a citizen of the United States, I hereby declare that the Federal Government is in violation of the Constitution, and my rights as an individual, with their pursuit of the Health Care Reform Bill, and, therefore, I refuse to be subject to any of the “requirements” or “obligations” imposed by the legislation.

I refuse to purchase health insurance under the threat of fine or imprisonment.

I refuse to pay any increased taxes associated with this bill.

I refuse to have my tax payments be diverted to handpicked states and constituencies who were promised special “deals” during this fraudulent process.

I refuse to financially support any legislation that arbitrarily confers special benefits upon a select group of people, while denying those benefits to others.

I refuse to support any legislation that arbitrarily places undue burden on a select group of people for the benefit of another.

I refuse to support any policy that requires a private business to provide services to any person or group of people that are not in the interest of that business.

I refuse to support any legislation that has not been securing by a Yay or Nay vote in both Houses of Congress, and signed by the President in accordance with Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution.

As a free citizen of the United States, I hereby waive my right to any suggested “benefits”, exempt myself from any increased taxes, and absolve myself of any and all penalties described in the unconstitutional Health Care Reform Bill.

Signed,

Michael L. Pepper

the nation will go bankrupt before the 6 years. So even if it becomes an illegal law that the government enforces, they don’t have the money to implement it. Or if they print the money anyway and we see hyperinflation

Sorry, I had a typo in there. Fixed it. Signed and dated.

Yes, post it on the web ASAP and circulate. Just make sure my John Hancock is the first one so the bastards come after me first.

A partial John Galt.

A full John Galt is when we remove all of our resources from the economy and go underground. I’m sure we’ll get there.

I heard in four years it will bank rupt the nation...tsk we’re already bankrupt, now that the republicans determined the actual costs.

A reporter asked Governor Rendell..”what will states do if after the alloted timeframe they still cannot meet their required share of the healthcare bill”?......

Rendell answered without blinking an eye and with that smirky smile..”why they’ll just have to raise taxes”

He can say that cause he’ll be serving with Oboma in Washington to make sure that is what’s done.

If anyone's been paying attention, these socialists in DC don't play by the rules. If such a plan as you describe were to become as visible as, say, the Tea Party movement, the dems will simply "deem" it the law that all the money they need from your check will simply be withheld.

Why would they bother dealing with confronting us Little People? They'll just "deem" your money (and mine) theirs from the moment we make it, and for our convenience hold it back.

I would guarantee some sort of uprising or civil disobedience(or worse) if thing passes and holds water through the court challenges.People are PISSED!You barely can go anywhere in public and not hear angry colorful statements regarding this bill and the general attitude our govt.displays toward we the people on a daily basis.Look at facebook, there are a plethora of 9-12 and Tea Party groups and pages as well as other conservative activist pages.Dissent is past simmering,it is at a boiling point and it WILL boil over.May God bless us and give us all the wisdom and strength needed to rise up and bring REAL CHANGE to Washington D.C

If Obama wins this round, several lawsuits against the bill will immediately be launched. A large majority of states will nullify the provisions of the bill. Many states and many affected parties will challenge it in the courts. Courts at all levels will issue various holds until the whole mess is determined to be illegal, as it is.

Hopefully, we are not at the point where we need to start shooting each other. If and when it does start, it will not be easily stoppable, and it will run a very ugly course from coast to coast.

This fight is not over, and the communists will not win.

You will have to pull your money out of the bank and bury it, they will have access to your accounts, and be able to take what they want.

This crap has been a long time in the planning stage. I dread seeing what else they have waiting!

"This fight is not over, and the communists will not win."

Personally, I think the fight should be against the media. If the media had been fully reporting what is going on for the last decade instead of pushing their far left agenda, non of this would be happening.

The fight should be against all political correctness, worldwide! Everything associated with worldwide political correctness must be seriously and successfully reversed until it’s seriously and successfully eliminated, for always! That’s the ticket.

I’m on borrowed time anyway,

Many of us on this side are on borrowed time.

Most of us also have children and/or grand-children to whom we'd rather not leave this mess to clean up. Many of those children/grand-children would likely take up the cause if we fail, but we'd rather they not have to.

Our opponents have no children/grand-children about whom they care more than their own selfish carcasses. They also have no affinity for such abstract ideas such as freedom, justice, or sustainable self-government.

We also love our constitutional republic, and most of us have sworn our lives, fortunes, and our sacred honor to its continued existence.

We also have more small arms and ammo than all the combined military members of Russia, China, India, and the USA could carry.

Were I on the other side and a reasonable person (laughable, but just to illustrate), I'd be negotiating for peace on any terms, and simultaneously seeking passage to some safer utopian place beyond the seas.

"I think I'm ready for a citizen's revolt. One where I promise that whatever means the fed intends to use to force my compliance with its wishes, I will not comply."

Michelle Bachman said pretty-much the same thing - I think most true Americans are of the same mind and heart on this.
They have finally gone too far - we put up with a lot, and we made a lot of threats in the past, but I think this may be the spark that ignites the inferno.
