An unfortunate comment by Boehner, who should know better. Etiquette 101: you don't kick people who are beneath you on the ladder. You don't mock people who can't answer back. Members of Congress shouldn't dump on staff.

For what it's worth, in years past, I've had occasion to interact with Barney Frank's office (mostly committee staff) on a couple of matters. The Frank staffers I've encountered have been highly professional. His politics are unfortunate, but Barney is a smart guy and it shows in his hires.

but Barney is a smart guy

Clever maybe, cunning maybe, nefarious maybe... But I have a hard time agreeing he is smart when he apparently has no clue that the math in his policies just doesn't work. At the same time, if his real goal is just to destroy America's economic infrastructure, it doesn't take a lot of smarts to do that.

I’m sorry, Mr. Frank. I think Mr. Boehner meant to call them “butt boys”.

Congressional staff are very well paid and live well in the Imperial City all Americans are forced to pay tribute to. They have no job insecurity unless their boss loses an election and even then they usually end up working for another hack or get another Federal job. Pensions and bennies are very good for them. I once read that 10% or more of them are gay. I’ll bet 80% and higher are Democrats, even the ones working for Republicans. DC is very incestuous

Compared to what Americans in the dreaded private sector must endure, congressional staff are living like kings. Salaries top out at $150,000 and more

By now you know I have no respect for any of the Feds in DC. They constitute a permanent liberal bureaucracy that is stacked against me and other conservatives and libertarians

There is no insult to great for the Queeah from Massachusetts. He is unworthy of calling himself an American

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), in a speech at the American Bankers Association convention this week, called the Massachusetts Democrats’ aides working on financial reform “little punk staffers.”

Frank staff to Boehner: "Who you callin' 'little'?"

Frank responded with a letter to Boehner, urging him to apologize for the “inaccurate cheap shot.”

I'll fix it...

They're expensive little punk staffers.

Rep. Barney Frank ( - Massachusetts , 4th) Staff Salaries

And that's just for one frickin' quarter.

Well, not apologizing is a step in the right direction.

Frank didn’t like the “inaccurate cheap shot” ? Would he have prefered an “accurate cheap shot”? Nice try at taking the high road and feigning indignation.

Barney IS a joke and not a very funny one.

Photobucket

Former Representative Barney Frank being led to prison from court after his conviction for his role in the Freddie/Fannie destruction of the American – some say the world – economy.

He joins former Senator Chris Dodd who was convicted on similar charges earlier this year.

Reporters overheard Frank ask the marshals escorting him how long he’d be in Administrative Segregation as he was anxious to meet his new friends in the general population – especially the younger ones.

Bawney always gets the vapors, he needs to apologize to the American people for all the lies he tells and his inept and evil job as banking queen.

Still, we must admit that Barney means everything to MA people and might be the only one who could have ever beat EMK in a primary.

One of the reasons MA people will always ridicule Barney Fife but love Barney Frank.

Little pink staffers?

Frank responded with, "I made sure they were not little."
