I have met the esteemed Mr, Hoekstra. He is from my hometown. I do hope that he wins the election, as he is genuinely a good American, and caares about Michigan.

Not really. Come on! I’m not gonna fall for those nerd ads!

Cut taxes. Cut spending. Improve the business climate. Keep your hands off my guns. And don’t cheat on your wife (or be part of the McNamara regime).

Am I really asking for that much?

LOL!

I’ll be the first to admit the Hoekstra is far from perfect but it’s either him or Mike Cox who stand a chance of getting elected. Hoekstra is the stronger of the two candidates.

There are also some unhappy political realities in Michigan that we have to face. He could say that we’re going to make Michigan a right to work state but he would have been lying to do so. That’s something to work toward but it will take a long time. Personally I appreciate the fact that he’s honest enough to say so.

At the end of the day its likely to be him or the democrat. I’m as much a “purist” as the next guy but I’ll take Hoekstra who is considerably to the right of John McCain over any of the democrats running.

Also there’s the fact that we have far bigger problems with several GOP legislators who are on the SEIU leash.
