The post above says “Strongly approve - Strongly disapprove = -21” you say -13? I say -200, I can pick a number out of the air also, no wait -500 just came in. -468

I follow this poll closely; I have for years.

The key here is not the -21. It’s that even among those who still approve, the “strongly approve” is down to 1/2.

Even those who support Obama are tepid.

Moreover, Obama’s support not surprisingly has historically been shored up around key events like this one. The fact that it has gone the opposite direction around the health care vote is a breathtakingly bad sign.

If Pelosi still does NOT have the votes this late in the game, the ground is giving way beneat these folks. It is too early to claim victory, of course, but it is within the Republicans’ grasp.
