I honestly don’t think they fear removal from office. A cushy federal job or $20K a speech on the speaking tour awaits them. They’ve made a risk assessment that they won’t see anything that would leave them sobbing on the floor of their house, so they’ve told everyone to go to hell.
Treason:
1. Violation of allegiance toward one’s country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one’s country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.
2. A betrayal of trust or confidence.
Their actions are clearly within the definition of treason. They have not listened to their constituents. They have not upheld their oath of office. They have been bought and paid for. They need removal from office, imprisonment, and far worse than I can elucidate at this time. GGGRRRRRR
