From the article: McEwen never told police about the list...McEwen admitted he never turned over the list to police. But he said he personally contacted the parents of all 17 boys on the list...

So here's this Lds bishop; and he has a list of 17 sexual abuse victims within the Scouts supplied by the perpetrator, an assistant scoutmaster, and he never supplies the list to law enforcement???

From the article: ...calling a state meeting of the church to "disfellowship" Dykes, or limit his church involvement, and counseled him to "repent of his errors..."

Say what? He "counseled him to 'repent of his errors...'"???
"Errors"???
17 abuse victims???
Some probably abused multiple times.
And he called what this pedophile perp did "errors???"

Had they gone to police, The Boy Scouts would have been indicted for ‘hate crimes’ toward gays.

What is interesting is that this information going public proves that the Boy Scouts had good reason to be concerned, and that the representatives in our government should have been on their side.

However, it is likely they will be punished for even trying to protect underage males from predators.

To see the Boy Scouts ‘die’, is to see America ‘die’.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Churches DO need to take their own action against members who behave in such a manner, in addition to contacting civil authorities.

This guy who withheld the list from the authorities needs to face charges of his own for obstruction of justice or SOMETHING.

No doubt this happened, and it is horrible.

Here’s the underlying pattern, though, as pioneered by Alinksy. Always use your enemy’s values against them. Conservative institutions like the Catholic church and the Boy Scouts are competing with the left for the minds and hearts of the young. Therefore, move against them by making the crimes of a few seem like the norm of the institution. Both the Catholics and the Boy Scouts have a core value called “integrity,” and once a crime has been exposed in the organization, they’ll generally face up to it - and then it’ll be used against them. Any hestitation will be called a “cover-up.” It’s a brilliant strategy, in an evil way.

I’m already running into people who believe that every priest buggers children. The same pattern will happen with the Boy Scouts - although, amusingly enough, the Boy Scouts were smeared more than two decades ago as being homophobic for NOT allowing gay scout leaders into their organization. Now they’re going to be smeared for ALLOWING those same gay scout leaders who are out trolling for teenage boys.

I would bet that there is also a pattern of sexual abuse in the Girl Scouts, too. However, the Girl Scouts now have an established pedigree of leftist, feminist teachings, and they’ll be left alone. There will be no investigation of lesbian-girl affairs.

I would also bet there’s a pattern of sexual abuse on all those communes established in the 1960s, too - after all, free love was mentioned often, and child sex abuse includes adult-teen sex. Again, they’re leftists. No investigation.

My prediction - next victim, the Latter-Day Saints. You know, strange conservatives with bizarre beliefs. And they’ll own up to it, too, and it’ll be used against them.

Ok, I’m confused. Why would the BSA be accountable? If there were files they kept on “suspected” adults, and they did not allow those adults to become leaders, why is BSA accountable?

It’s not like they could make accusations without proof for fear of being sued.

The Bishop and this piece of crap need to be held accountable, not the BSA.

The BSA has made many strenuous efforts to protect the boys. They are fought from every angle to allow gays access to the boys.

They can’t win. I suppose that’s the point though.
