How great is our God, the Creator---the Author and Giver of life?
BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER!
Pray for God’s help in ending abortion, and in establishing a culture that supports life in America.
40 Days for Life consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion,
40 days of constant, peaceful vigil outside abortion centers and Planned Parenthood offices
and 40 days of active pro-life community outreach.

"They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters... and the land was polluted with blood. Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against his people, and He abhorred his heritage; he gave them into the hands of the nations, so that those who hated them ruled over them. Their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their power. (See Psalm 106:37-43)

Your community may be participating in this prayerful vigil.
If so, please join others in your area
or unite with thousands across America
in these 40 days during Lent
as we pray for an end to abortion in this nation.

DAY 32 INTENTION

May we come to know that divine life, in relationship, creates human life.

SCRIPTURE

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

-- John 1:1-3

REFLECTION - by Paul Stallsworth, Lifewatch

"In the beginning" was God.

Always, before all times, there was God.

This particular God -- the God of the Bible, the God of St. John's Gospel -- is different from all other gods. This God is alive and full of life.

This God is not the picture of deadness and death, aloneness and isolation.

This God is the picture of life, relationship, and unity. For within this God, within this one God, there are three divine persons who live, who love, and who work -- together. This is the glorious mystery of the Trinity.

The Trinity means divine life. The Trinity means three, living Persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- who relate to each other. The Trinity means mutual love and service among three Persons.

The Word was always with God the Father. This Word was, is, and will be the Trinity's second person. The Word is also the Son of God or, as revealed in time, Jesus Christ.

God the Father and God the Son live, love, and work for each other. As one, they create "all things" together: the Father creates all things, including all human life, through the Son.

So the Father, through the Son, creates all human lives. The little one swimming in his mother's womb, the infant smiling in his father's arms, the child crying in pain in a hospital bed, the energetic teen running another mile, the old man gasping for his last breath -- all were created, at their beginning, by the Father through the Son.

No exceptions. Divine life creates human life.

PRAYER

O God, may we always be quick to call you Father. And when we call you father, let your Spirit remind us that we, and all people, from their beginning to their last day, are your children.

We praise you, Father, that you sent your Son to reveal to the world that all people are His brothers and sisters, that all people are your children. Through Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

“Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.”
(Proverbs 31: 8-9)

Merciful God,

Were it not for Your grace, we ourselves might be the ones in need of rescuing from a death in the womb. Help us to recognize our responsibility to defend those who cannot defend themselves, for as we do this unto the least of these, we do it unto You. Grant us the strength to stand against evil in any form. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Who died that all might have life, Amen.

What are we going to do when it is the year 3000 AD and God is still allowing beautiful creatures to be tortured and murdered on a daily basis? Are we still going to be waiting for his righteous judgement or will this accused world continue?

The first thing I say upon waking each morning is: “I am completely ungrateful for everything. God, I abandon you as you have abandoned us.”

I am very sorry that you feel abandoned. Jesus Christ did not abandon you. There is nothing further from the truth. God has already poured out His wrath and judgment on Jesus when He died on the cross. The devil is allowed to stalk about in this world until Christ returns. We have been given free will and are not forced to accept Christ in any way, but it is not God’s desire for any of us to turn away from Him. The devil is the accuser, the liar, and the source of all evil. He is the one who condemns us. Know who the real enemy is. Jesus never condemned anyone. He is waiting for you to come to Him and accept His love and grace. When you accept Him as your Savior then all your past sins, present sins, and future sins are forgiven. His grace and righteousness are His gift to you, and there is nothing in this world that can separate you from His love. If none of this makes sense, please forgive me, but know this one fact that I am absolutely certain of: Jesus Christ loves you unconditionally-—always and forever. Nothing will ever change that.

He will have to prove it to me when this life comes to an end. I don’t believe him. I don’t even believe that he will bother to prove it.

My friend, He already proved it to you by dying for you. Your sins (past, present, and future) are paid for at the moment you accept Him. There is no greater gift of love than this.

I’m not trying to hijack the thread, but I’m thinking if I share a few thoughts it might help.

Did you believe in God once in your life? Just once?

What has happened?

I thought that I was in your same place (although I don’t know your details) when God took my husband of 21 years through lung cancer. I had five children at home, aged 9-19. What am I to do, God? Where are you, God? Why is this happening to me, God? These were my thoughts.

I took on a lot of guilt — unrealistic guilt at that time and was able to shed it year after year.

After my husband died;
his mother died the next year;
I had to ID my father in law’s body the next year because he had shot himself — the police found a 25% blood alcohol test ticket in his car;
two years later my brother, who was a priest died from AIDS — so I not only had to face the fact that he died, but that he had shed the vows of celibacy of his priesthood and was a homosexual;
and finally a couple years later, my mother died suddenly from complications due to her not taking care of her diabetes.

So you see — I really did wonder where God was!

Please FReepmail me if you would like information about dealing with the feelings that you are experiencing — whether it’s unbelief, depression, whatever.

And God bless you.

A little PS. here.

God brought me through these pits and valleys, and I did a lot of praying, working on myself, helping others, etc. I’m really not the same person I was when all that happened. God has helped me to heal and become more of a servant to others.

John 3:16 ~ “For God so loved the world (Soothesayer) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever (Soothesayer) believeth in Him, (Soothesayer) should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Praying for you, Soothe ...

PROVERBS 6

16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:

17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Well over 50 million incidents of “innocent blood” being shed. Awaken our nation, Lord God, to the absolute poverty of the soul brought about by abortion.

Many thanks, Pegita.
