“Tell me something, both of you...”
And tell me something, you...what religion are you so I can start picking it apart.
The Vatican is a city, they cannot snub diplomats, she had a meeting but NO photop which is what they crave.
I’ve had it with the pickers, and naysayers. We need to support each other else we’re going to be divided and conquered by marxists. We haven’t changed our doctrine nor can we - ALL churches have been infiltrated. We’re the ones the marxists want therefore we’re the ones in their eye. We fall you all fall...
Being pro-abortion is not grounds for excommunication in the mormon church.
From the Salt Lake Tribune,
Updated:10/26/2009 06:41:45 AM MDT
Washington » Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid keeps a copy of the Book of Mormon in his office just off the chamber floor. There's a second copy handy to give away to someone in need of spiritual guidance. Reid, who in 2007 became the highest ranking elected Mormon in the church's history, says he's faced this for years. And he's not offended. -SNIP-
The LDS Church declined comment for this story but pointed to its statement on relationships with government. It says that elected officials who are LDS make their own decisions "and may not necessarily be in agreement with one another or even with a publicly stated church position." |
And the church has made efforts in the past to dispel the notion that it sides with conservative politics. In 1998, church General Authority Marlin Jensen stressed that good Mormons can also be good Democrats. The late James E. Faust, a Democrat and then a member of the First Presidency, the church's top governing body, said it was in the church's best interest to have a two-party system.

"He has the right to voice his opinions but I would under no circumstances challenge Harry's credentials as a member of the church," says Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah.
Bennett's Utah Senate colleague, Orrin Hatch, says it's not fair for fellow Mormons to disparage Reid as anything but a devout Mormon. Hatch says he didn't agree with Reid's statement on the gay marriage ballot question but said he's entitled to speak it.
"I can personally tell you that Harry is a good member of the LDS faith and he was expressing a personal opinion that his side feels very deeply about," Hatch says.
Reid says church leaders have never complained about his political statements.
Harry Reid: A Mormon in the middle
Excerpted in accordance with FR posting rules.
In my mind she is she may not be the Anti-Christ , but she is certainly hard at work for him.
I don’t care what her parish priest does. Nor her Bishop, she has excomminicated herself. She knows it and the Priest knows it and any other real catholic knows it, she only remains Catholic in name only for the votes. She has sold her soul.
(Oh, yes, let's change the subject of this thread...anything to keep from focusing on accountability, eh?)
We need to support each other else were going to be divided and conquered by marxists.
Listen, the thrust of this article is simple: Where is the accountability by church leadership? (It's that simple)
All it'd take is some simple actions...an Lds bishop denying Harry Reid temple access by not providing a temple recommend...or an RC priest or bishop denying Polosi communion...and there'd soon actually be some (not all) politicians who'd get the message.
I agree.
...it is overwhelmingly obvious that...Pelosi... [has] any attachment to...claimed faith...
Sure, she does. She takes communion at a RC church. Her priest gives it to her. Catholic churches have memberships. She is one. How, granted, it's a very tenous attachment; but it's still one. But again, the main focus of this article is what you noted above...where's the accountability of the church administrators?
...it is overwhelmingly obvious that...Reid... [has] any attachment to...claimed faith...
Well, apparently...
...Sen. Orrin Hatch
...BYU administrators who invited Reid to speak on campus in Oct 2007 before all student body, all faculty forum...
...over 4,000 BYU students, faculty, & administrators who gave Reid an ovation -- some standing...
...Reid's home teaching companion (see FR URL below)...
...the Lds bishop who assigned Reid to be a home teaching presenter...
...all apparently would take issue with this statement.
Harry Reid is very active, appearing with other Mormon members of Congress a few days before Christmas to receive the local Mormon missionaries for a Christmas event.
And the The Salt Lake Trib ran an article Oct. 23, 2009: Today, Reid, with his security escort in tow, likely will be making his home teaching rounds after his ward's three-hour service. Anyone who questions his Mormon credentials should see that, says Jim Vlock, his home-teaching companion.

Lds leaders send their "more mature" members to make home teaching presentations to families.
...Orrin Hatch, says it's not fair for fellow Mormons to disparage Reid as anything but a devout Mormon..."I can personally tell you that Harry is a good member of the LDS faith and he was expressing a personal opinion that his side feels very deeply about," Hatch says. [Source: same article as above]
Our Church has never wavered in our doctrine in 2000 yrs. That’s what I call accountability. We take the hits as they come.
Now what religion are you?
All Mormons are fake
We're not talking about issues of orthodoxy here; we're talking about issues of orthopraxy as it pertains to holding RC & Lds candidates accountable
The authors of this article and yourself could have found the answers in seconds:

“We’re not talking about issues of orthodoxy here; we’re talking about issues of orthopraxy as it pertains to holding RC & Lds candidates accountable”
Like I said it would have taken a few seconds to find the answer but it’s obvious that wasn’t your motivation.
Now for the third time. What is your religion?

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, its worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.
Mail must be inspected for anthrax takes 2 weeks, so if you snail mail send a post card

Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obamas announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the fixer bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Sunday March 21st.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.
At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote yes for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senators office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.
When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senators office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senators answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!
We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

I was right: Orthopraxy IS the issue! Here we have a Pope on record who "states clearly that Catholic politicians who persist in advocating abortion should be prohibited from receiving Communion" -- yet is that enforced?
So, again, nobody is questioning Catholic orthodoxy on this thread.
Why aren't the Pope's wishes carried out in San Francisco & D.C. re: this communion policy?
I gave you the first link where they were explaining it to Daily Kos bloggers. Now I find a self-professed Evangelical Christian doing the same selective reading as Daily Kos and MSM.
I was correct. Your motivation wasn’t to learn but smear just like Daily Kos bloggers. I have no further interest in talking to you. That’s all.
