A 16-year-old boy, who was arrested for allegedly announcing a hateful message over a South Jersey Wal-Mart's intercom, has been released to the custody of his parents, police said.
The Atlantic County, N.J. teenager was taken into custody Friday evening on charges of harassment and bias intimidation after allegedly accessing the Washington Township, N.J. store's public address system and announcing: "Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now."
Authorities aren't releasing the boy's name because he's a juvenile, and they don't know whether he has an attorney.

In the wake of the incident, angry and offended customers lambasted the store for the ease at which someone could make a storewide page through several phones inside the store.
Some people are just to up-tight.
“Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now.”
I thought the store was on fire and wanted to save the black people.
Obviously this requires a federal investigation
I have boycotted WalMart for a long time, but not because of this incident. WalMart has become so steeped in ‘Made in China’ that they have become Anti-American.
yeah, it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo difficult to watch the numbers punched in when a clerk asks for a price check.

I was a real brat when I was a teenager. I used to do stupid stuff like that all the time.
People are to uptight. This was just one of those stupid kid tricks. They need to get over themselves.
Im sure they were all hoping it was a David Duke look-alike with a lot of money so they can sue and make a big deal out of it. Now it turned out to be just a 16 year old kid pulling a prank.
The NAACP will be disappointed.

Pranks are fun, but this wasn't a good one.
No it wasn’t but, it was still a stupid kid trick.
Our regional fairgrounds has a paging loudspeaker that is going constantly, with a lot message like “ John Doe please come to the rest area behind the grandstand”.
I know some guys who would hand a note to the harried announcer asking for “Phil Latio” to please come to the rest area, followed shortly by a request for “Connie Lingus”.

It takes really stupid people to get all heated up over something this trivial!
The problem is the kid needs to be punished and this thing shouldn’t be blown out of proportion. But, it probably will be.
