For me it was a WTF?! moment - I didn't get the vibe that it was aimed at the House dems, but an appeal aimed at US, the general public, hence the comparison to a threadbare campaign speech. That manuever was plain fishy.

That is my question too. At this point people should be asking themselves why they should save him. He’s acting like Nero, people are sick of it, so why should they save him? If this healthcare thing is the only thing he focused his presidency on, they should also be asking themselves why this is.
