Oaths? Oaths? We don’t need no steenking oaths. Seriously, what real purpose does it serve, if you’re a private citizen?

We don’t need you, either.

Look, there are some things which are, as the founding fathers said “Self evident”. If you do not understand why you’d publicly make an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, or why you’d publicly take a stand to defy a runaway government and work without ceasing to restore it to it’s proper borders, then I can’t explain it to you in a posting here. In fact, if you see no value in it, then please join the KosKidz in thier destruction of our nation - where you can at least be honest about what you think and that you place no value on those old fashioned ideas and ideals that are worth fighting and dying to preserve in the character of our nation. Now, if as I suspect, you’re asking because the real meaning of your question is “What’s in it for me?”, the answer is “absolutely nothing”. In fact, it’s going to mean YOU are the target of the haters and the tyrants. And like the signers of the Declaration of Independence, you are marking yourself, by your own hand, as the object of their violence and malevolence. It could cost you very much. No, there’s nothing “in it” for you, other than to reaffirm to yourself, what it is you really believe, and whether you’re willing to fight for it.

That's the point. I know what I believe and I don't have to "reaffirm" my beliefs to myself. That's loony.
