If that boy were the son of a Nazi skinhead type, that news would be widely reported, even if they didn’t identify him by name. Not saying that he is a minority himself, but, usually a perpetrator of the majority race is identified that way in these “hate crime” type situations.

“...The police would not disclose any details about the suspect, including his race.”

That’s beecause he WASN’T white. Had he been white, it would have been mentioned in the headline and shouted from every rooftop. JMHO.

It was a stupid prank by a 16 year old kid — what happened to freedom of speech.

He shouldn’t have done it of course, but to arrest him and charge him with a crime is ludicrous.

Wal-Mart, the nation’s largest retailer, has a history of discrimination and labor complaints involving minorities and women

And this is why this is such a big deal to the NYT.

was charged by Gloucester County authorities with bias and intimidation and harassment in connection with the episode last Sunday.

Unconstitutional to prosecute him for "bias" for the content of the words he spoke.

There is no way the elements of "intimidation" were present. Without checking the language of the statute, I would bet that it requires a reasonable belief of imminent physical attack.

I am not sure what crime they mean by "harassment" but I have to think that is a non-starter. I would guess it requires something close to stalking.

They could charge the kid with trespassing if it was clearly signed that the phones were not authorized for use by customers.

Welcome to the Obama Fascist state of Amerika where people are thrown in jail for saying something insensitive about blacks.

He was trespassing and that is basically about it.

Even casinos in Vegas can only order you off their property for things like "card counting"

And yes, I do wonder what the Police conceal about the details of this case.

Best regards,

He should’ve brandished a nightstick outside a polling place on election day, and announced that black people should “get ready to be ruled by the white man.”

Apparently, that’s 100% legal. According to Eric Holder (Communist) and 0bama (Moslem Marxist) who refuse to prosecute the “black panthers” for doing that.

Oh, I forgot, they finally got charged with “jaywalking” or something 1 year after the fact, after the issue wouldn’t die.

I think that this was probably a set up. The person who did it was probably coached by anti-racist activists. MSM came in with anti-Walmart coverage right on cue. There are also anti-Walmart threats. There will be pressure for Walmart to show sensitivity towards African-Americans. This will involve giving money to thugs and slime balls.

This stuff happens all the time. From Tawana Brawley to “racist” graffiti etc the perpetrators are almost always African-Americans with an agenda.

The suspect had been accompanied to the store by a friend and the friend’s mother, the authorities said. Neither the friend nor his mother had been charged, though Chief Muñiz left open the possibility that they could face prosecution for failing to report a crime.

For those of you hoping that when martial law and CW2 darken our country, you can just keep your head down and hide out until the worst of it is over, they've figured out a way to lock you away too.

There is however one easy loophole available -- knowing the law so well that you can make on-the-spot immediate decisions to report or not report a given action, notwithstanding that the police themselves required hours and days to decide that a crime had been committed.

But when the Black Panthers were intimidating voters, all the charges were dropped.

Jail time? For being an a$$? We’ll need a lot more jails really soon if this becomes the norm.

If he was linked to anyone who tries to bring a lawsuit, then he could be charged with fraud. That investigation would take longer.

Otherwise, trespass, as you said.

Doubt there are laws against being a stupid, impulsive, offensive 16 y.o.
