No. If the House passes the Senate bill it is over. I believe it is the first bill they will vote on tonight. The House Reconciliation bill is political subterfuge to cover Dem House member’s butts, and the motion to recommit only effects the House ReCONciliation bill.

From what I can gather, the GOP will put a motion to recommit. They will attempt to amend the bill to include anti-abortion language. If the “pro-life” Rats vote to NOT recommit, they are essentially saying that they stand for the bill as it is written with publicly funded abortions.
If they vote to recommit, then the GOP can amend the bill which will then not be the exact same bill that the Senate passed. Even if the House passes the amended bill the bill then goes back to the Senate where it will require 60 votes to stop a filibuster. This will effectively kill the bill.

Not bad but I want to see this recommit. occur and finish this step. I know event when/if passed this is not over and I am frustrated at the BS. Nope not giving up just getting the blood level up.

Word on Twitter is that they’re going to try the recommit using ONLY the Stupak language. They’re leaving the “pro-life” Dems absolutely no wiggle room and they’ll have to decide whether they want to commit political suicide then and now or save face to whatever extent they still can.
This is it - this is the last stand. The Republicans have played their hand well and this is all we can hope for. I hope to GOD it works.

As I understand it - and believe me, there’s a lot I don’t know - this will happen right around the time of the vote.
As best I can gather from twitter, this is also going to include certain language addressing Barry’s executive order. No idea on the specifics...but if they can poke holes in the EO and force a vote on the Stupak language again, we very well may see this fall apart.

When is the motioin to recommit? did they miss their opportunity?
