With hundreds of Tea Party activists protesting behind him, the Rev. Jesse Jackson told reporters that those among the conservative grassroots protesting President Obamas health-care bill have fears that are not well-founded.
Some of them are very upset, Jackson said when The Daily Caller asked him his opinion on the Tea Parties. But their fears are not well-founded. Some of these people have Medicare and Medicaid cards in their pockets. Some of them are veterans and theyll be the first beneficiaries of the bill.
Jackson, whose son is a Democratic congressman from Illinois who spent part of Sunday presiding over the House of Representatives, waved and grinned at the assembled Tea Party protesters during an afternoon visit to the Capitol. When he arrived on the Hill Sunday afternoon, he declined to answer questions from The Daily Caller, only choosing to make himself known to the protesters until he was booed.

Jesse Jackson is a professional race baiter.
The vast majority of the people he represents don’t pay for anything anyway.
He doesn’t sound like he’s race-baiting here. He sounds like he’s sincerely trying to reassure. I’m surprised.
Thanks, Jesse. Now f off.
This picture says it all. Speaker Pelosi has made a dictatorial sham of her office, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Carrying the House gavel in public like a club ... shame.
This is not Europe and Elected Officials do not march through the streets like European Fascists, Socialists and Communists do to display raw political power.
The Roman Tribune"Fasces [as in Fascism] ... was a bundle of reed-rods surrounding an axe head the symbol of ultimate authority and the power of Rome. Guards carried the Fasces at the head of the procession as the Tribune made his way through the crowded streets. The message was, Get out of the way. -By William R. Fasces at the House of Representatives, which has been overrun by the "Congressional Progressive Caucus"
Who is Jesse “James” Jackson to lecture anyone on any subject?? A fraud, a liar, a racist and a criminal. Did I forget anything?
I fear we’re turning into a 3rd world socialist cess pit. My fears are pretty well founded.
Jesse who?
And I remember a certain Republican presidential candidate telling some woman that there was nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.
J. Jackson is alive?
But their fears are not well-founded. Some of these people have Medicare and Medicaid cards in their pockets. Some of them are veterans and theyll be the first beneficiaries of the bill.
Laughable in the extreme. I have a VA card and and a medicare card. I have received the finest healthcare I could have ever in my life wished for. This bill is not going to make it all better.
Watch your temper there, FRiend.
The bigot babbles.
....and shakedown artist.
Reassure what? It is unconstitutional for the government to force a citizen to purchase a product. This bill will bankrupt this country. How would Jackson know? He nor does anyone in Congress who voted for it know exactly what is in the bill. They have not read it!
He was mocking.
Nothing to fear? bankrupt systems from SS to MedicareABCD. Unfounded fears?
This horse’s ass implies that the Tea Party people are only concerned about themselves, as are his clientele. These people are worried about the future of the country and their grandchildren.
He was mocking them.
Bart “Baby Killer” Stupak is being vilified as well as any ‘Rat. Jackson like Yassir Arafat after 9/11, sees the writing on the wall. The ‘Rats and RINOs are TOAST in Nov.
Then he is wasting his time. Every word out of his mouth is a lie including "and" and "the".
Jackson is an opportunist of the first order. The Rev. Ralph Abernathy had no use for him immediately after the assassination after Jesse managed to put some of Dr. King's blood on his shirt and head to the news shows while the rest of King's inner circle were consoling one another and determining what to do. Abernathy knew what type of person Jackson was way back then. He hasn't changed.
