Actually, you did insult the [alleged] million who have left the Roman church in recent times, in the context of this thread, and the discussion. But it was Campion who called them hedonists, not you. I was in error there, but I did invite you to "refresh my memory" as to what you precisely did say. You didn't. However, upon review (which I was trying to avoid) you did smear them all with the same brush, calling them "cafeteria catholics" and more;

These are the same cafeteria Catholics who make the same old complaints about any Church issue (priestly celibacy, wymen’s ordination, contraception, etc...) so that they can justify doing doing what they want like taking the pill, procuring abortions, not Sunday Mass attendance, etc... They haven’t been in communion with the Church for some time so there’s not much to see here.

How does this differ from calling them hedonists, as Campion did? It's pretty much the same, but only varies by degree.
