TALLAHASSEE, Florida - Floridians could opt out of the federal health care overhaul plan under a ballot proposal being considered by the Republican-controlled state Legislature.
The proposed state constitutional amendment (HJR 37) is going before a House committee Monday. It would need 60 percent voter approval if it gets on the November ballot.
The amendment would prohibit anyone including employers from being forced to participate in the federal system President Barack Obama is expected to sign into law.

How would this effect those of us who have insurance through their employers? Do businesses have the choice to opt out?
The problem with these opt outs is the state taxpayers will still be stuck paying the higher taxes to fund Obamacare.
