Netanyahu in US: Jerusalem not a settlement

Declaring "Jerusalem is not a settlement," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu struck a defiant note on Monday after new US criticism of Jewish home construction in disputed territory in and around the city.

His speech in Washington to AIPAC contrasted sharply with an address Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made at the same forum hours earlier. "The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today. Jerusalem is not a settlement. It's our capital," Netanyahu said.

We will have to rebuild our alliances after this failure of a president.

Will he make him walk out the back door past the trash like he did with the Dali Lama?

God I love Bibi!!

I have a good friend who is jewish and lives in Israel. We were discussing this whole mess the other day and he told me that we don’t even quite understand how tenious things are there. He said the Jerusalem Post picks up in it more than any other, but even they don’t fully acknowledge the situation for fear of a panic.

Apparently it’s lining on all sides, the Palestinians are the LEAST of their worries. Those are some cocktails or the occassional rocket. The real worry is Syria and Iran. The Israelis don’t seem to have this ideal of “Barack MUST be good because he’s an American and an American President wouldn’t sit back and let Israel get wiped out!” The average person absolutely distrusts Obama to the point of thinking he’s an Islamic plant (apparently they don’t have a cartoonish view of the world and can see without a doubt how and why Islam would install a plant-they are used to their trickery on a daily basis). I told him that if we mention that over here, we are mocked as insane by the media to the point that the average citizen has come to believe we are crazies for even considering that. They don’t just consider, they believe it to be absolutely true. And speak of it quite frankly in circles. They also have noted his treatment of Britain. As he said his father put it, “If Obama can treat a nation who has been a solid friend for so long as such dogs, with nothing to gain from it. Why wouldn’t he treat us any worse when he has much more to gain from turning on Israel?”

That chilled me.

It appears that there is no consequence to defying Obama, Iran and North Korea prove that every day. Bibi may just get away with it. He has more Chutzpa in his little finger than Obama has in his whole being.

I can't believe that we are having this conversation with Israel. It's embarrassing.

It's precisely like Mexico telling us not to build in the suburbs of Houston, TX because it's "disputed" territory.

I can see that coming in the near future. Mexico, through its drug cartel industry, already occupies our national parks.

The Bible has a few things about Syria in the end times. I’d walk softly if I was Syria!
